“Frank Neef has his pottery displayed in a beautiful farm house. His collection is striking and I especially loved the ones influenced by his trip to Barcelona to see Gaudi’s works. Beyond his incredible talent, his and his wife’s welcoming spirit for those visiting his place made us feel right at home. So much so that we went back for a second visit that day! My father ended up purchasing a beautiful plate with formed crystals at a very reasonable price. I must commend the enthusiasm for and collaboration among the potters in Seagrove as they had nothing but kind words and recommendations for their colleagues!”
“If this isn’t the oldest pottery in the area, then it’s not far off. The owner is a descendant and artist, gave us a great history lesson. Everything here is functional pottery and I got a baking dish that I love.”
“Stopped while visiting family nearby. Really nice high end pottery, most out of my price range, but the family are well known potter's and have a red glaze that they are noted for. There is also a museum attached that was very interesting, showing the history of Owen/Owens potters as well as historical pottery pieces from China. Really nice store and museums.”
“Unusual & interesting; a must see for anyone interested in unique pottery. This is not inexpensive pottery, it is a quality product turned with care & glazed & decorated with distinctive designs. Bulldog is not in Seagrove; it is down a nice country road [old hwy 220]. Worth the extra semi-short drive. :))”
“Carolina Bronze Sculpture Garden is free to visit. When you drive up to the parking area there are some sculptures you will see. There are stairs that take you down to the garden. They recommend closed toe shoes as you will be walking on nature so grass, dirt and stones. The walk is peaceful and I heard frogs, birds and other wildlife as I walked from one sculpture to another admiring the art work. It was well thought out and nicely done. I will make sure to return the next time I am in that part of the state.”
“They need to update their phone number. Other than that beautiful pottery!! One of my favorite parts of going to the NC State Fair each year is to see what beautiful pieces they are selling. Wonderful Christmas gifts!”
“Beautiful store with a delightful lady running it! She was very helpful and has gorgeous pottery and baskets for sale. When she herself did not have an item we were looking for, she was quick to tell us about another place she thought might. Very friendly and kind and her items ate beautiful. An absolute must stop in Seagrove!”
