Everything is great about this gas station except the obnoxiously loud speakers. It gives me and my mother a headache every time we come.

Only problem I have with this particular Ingles is the parking lot lay out. Otherwise I have no issues. Staff was friendly and fast.

If zero stars was an option, that's what I would have selected. IF they ever had anyone WORKING at the pumps and IF the card readers worked correctly, maybe SECU card holders could actually purchase gas without an issue. This needs to be fixed.

First of all the good. The new Ingles Market across from Walmart in Shelby NC is clean and the customer service people are nice. However, unless you enjoy paying anywhere from 20% to 50% more for your groceries, even when using their rewards card, you need to shop elsewhere. Grocery prices have risen everywhere however the price increases at this store are unbelievable. I normally buy a large bag of dog food there for around $12.00. When I went there today it was $20.00 for the same food and the same sized bag. I bought it elsewhere for $14.00. Toilet paper is around $5.00 a pack more than what is offered at Walmart and Food Lion. A six-pack of Diet Coke was $5.98. Walmart had the same pack for $3.98. A pound of their gourmet chicken salad was almost $8.00. Their store-brand bread was $1.98. At Walmart, their store brand bread was $1.18. I did buy a few things that I thought were reasonable but then went to another area store to finish off my shopping I bought around seven items at Ingles for $57.00. One of the items was a steak that was marked down to $7.00. I bought more at the other store, including hamburger meat, fish, a pack of fresh chicken breasts, and four full bags of groceries, for around $40.00. This has always been my go-to store but not anymore. I know the price differences are only a few dollars more per item but that does add up. I'm very budget-conscious so from now on I'll be shopping elsewhere until Ingles brings their prices back in line with the other local stores.
