This was supposed to be a 90 day prescription and I paid for a 90 day prescription but I got home I realized it was only a 30 day prescription. I called the store about it and the person I talked to was very nice and professional and after I told her about my problem and previous bad experiences I have had with prescriptions at this CVS, she suggested I talked to the pharmacy manager as he need to be aware of what has been happening because was not acceptable and needed to be addressed. When I returned to the store and talked to the manager, at first he said it said it was only a 30 day prescription until I pointed out that the paperwork stated 90 days was filled and I paid for 90 days. Then he agreed to fix it, but seemed much more interested in who told me to talk to him. He continued to grill me about who I talked to, what time I spoke her, exactly what she said. He never once apologized for this problem or the other problems I have experienced over the last 6 months at this location. He blamed the problems on suppliers and never once apologized for mistakes obviously made by associates ( for example - the last time I filled this same prescription, I was given three boxes that were all expired.) I understand that everyone makes mistakes and would probably not have filed this review if the manager had acted in the least bit concerned about why these problems continued to happen. This was absolutely the last straw for me and I along with my other family member will be transferring our prescriptions to a locally owned pharmacy. I have been a CVS customer since CVS took over Revco but no more.

I've always found great Associates and Pharmacists while using CVS. Fast, efficient, and courteous service.

CVS in Smithfield is horrible. The last 4 times I have had prescriptions filled I have had problems. The worst was when they gave me a 90 day supply of my meds and when I got home I discovered all three boxes were EXPIRED- some more than 6 months. When I returned them they didn't have any in stock that were not expired and I had to wait for them to order a new supply. Several times I went to pick up a common antibiotic and they never have it in stock and I end up having to drive to another CVS 20 miles away. The last time I had my doctor call to verify they had the meds in stock before she called it in. They assured her they did. After waiting 20 minutes they informed me they didn't have it. Another tlime they didn't have it and transferred it to another pharmacy 20 miles away only to get there and find out not only did they not transfer it but that pharmacy did not gave it either. I have used this pharmacy for many many years but it is time for me to go.

I've been sitting in line for almost 30 minutes while the line has not moved. Time to switch to Walgreens. Three cars behind me have left while waiting.

Might want to triple check before you waste your gas driving here for an important medication they said was ready 3 days in a row ? I can understand delays I can’t understand how you tell someone 3 times a medication is ready if it is not !

Absolutely terrible service. 40 minutes in a line that NEVER moves. This CVS should NOT be allowed to offer testing because they only use one of their two drive thru lanes. People just wanting prescriptions have to wait ridiculously long periods. Either open the other line and get more staff or get the hell out of the testing business. This is s very poorly run Pharmacy.

While the staff is at perfunctory, at least it is open 24 hrs. The pharmacy is always swamped, you'll wait awhile no matter if you come in or go through drive up. And woe to the person that needs to call the location, you'll often be on hold more than an hour to reach someone to fill what they should have already filled. Unless they hang up on you unanswered. The convenience of 24 hrs really doesn't offset the sheer time you'll spend trying to convince them to fill your prescription. I don't know why this location has so many issues, but I hope they solve them soon.

I'm sitting in the drive-thru, and have been sitting here for over 40 minutes, waiting to take the COVID test I scheduled for 1 pm. It is now 1:40 pm. I don't know what is wrong with these people. I've taken a COVID test before. Takes two minutes, tops. Getting medication shouldn't take this damn long. WTF?

I wish I could give negative stars. This pharmacy used to be really good, but over the last couple of years, it has gone downhill in every possible way. I had surgery a couple of months ago, and the nurses in the hospital told us that CVS said my prescriptions were already ready. When we went to pick them up, we were told that they didn't know anything about them and to "give them thirty minutes." Thirty minutes turned into FIVE HOURS. Both the drive-through line and the inside line are always at least five deep. They almost never answer the phone. As you're standing in line, the message thing always repeats how many calls are waiting, and it's never below 6-10. I have currently been on hold with them for over two hours because they promised three prescriptions three days ago, and they are supposedly still "in process." This the LAST TIME I deal with this place. They've lost a years-long customer.

CVS Smithfield NC Worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. Waited on the phone for an hour for someone to answer which they never did. Decided to drive there meds weren’t filled that were sent over at 10 am. And still had to sit for an hour for them to finally fill it
