Called for a couple of information on opening up an account and lady over the phone was really rude would not give no info when I would ask a question she would just stay quiet

On the September 29 witch fell on Thursday I went to Smithfield courthouse and closed out my father’s account. Talked Mrs.Wells and she was very nice and help me out . So I called Wednesday on the following week to check on to see if they were going to release the money and they told they have got the letter from Mrs. Wells . So I call them Friday and the teller was very rude and nasty I had her speaker phone. My coworker said they where shocked how the teller talked to me . My coworker said I should fill complaint with corporate. I keep clam and never raised my voice or got nasty . I feel disrespected. I didn’t feel like first citizens. Maybe they treat Minorities as second class Citizens. This coming Thursday will be two weeks That I closed the account and they still haven’t released the money.

I'm surprised they even have customers by the way they treat potential customers, have been trying to get a phone call or email back for weeks and it's nearly impossible. I simply don't understand the lack of followup with customers.

I've been trying to get Someone to call me back for weeks. Never seen a bank with such bad customer service. Steer clear of dealing with this branch.

This is the ONLY branch of this bank that has ever given me a problem about cashing my checks in over 4 years. I suggest any other location but this one.

They never pick up the phone and they never call you back. You would have to go back there for them to tell you they were just about to contact you. Even having waited longer than the time frame they gave you. Like I said if you try calling, they won’t pick up.

Very poor customer service. This was my first time here and I did not feel welcomed at all. One of the employees had a nasty attitude. I will gladly bank somewhere else.

This location does customer service right! Hats off to these ladies! No slackers here! They actually answer the drive thru and have the door open on time.

Big props to bank cashier Abby Gwyn who just kept me from tearing First Citizens a new one after charging me a $12 service fee for my "Free" checking account after 15 years. I try to do business with local vendors but after they closed the West Smithfield branch and now the Cashpoints ATM in West Smithfield is now SECU, First Citizens is making it more than difficult. This is obviously not my primary account and ironically I was making a deposit when I discovered my service charge. Again, First Citizens should be glad Abby was my cashier and able to help me with with these frivolous fees and it was on a Friday afternoon too! Otherwise, this review would have been waaaaay different and I would have had to be mean to someone if they weren't as helpful as Abby was.
