Hours: Talamore Golf Resort is a very nice golf course in the Sandhills, featuring a great layout designed by Rees Jones. The course is in great shape, well-kept, and features over 150 ft. of elevation change, lakes, wetlands, massive bunkers including unique sod wall bunkers, and towering longleaf pine trees. It is considered a thinking man’s golf course that requires position and control. The green complexes have a truer roll and more speed following recent improvements. The resort offers several clean, modern, and updated lodging options. These include Golf Villas with panoramic views, spacious condos, and new, amenity-laden cottages with multiple bedrooms and full kitchens. On-property amenities include a gracious southern style Clubhouse, a pool with cabanas, and walking paths around the complex. The clubhouse has a great bar and good light food options, with friendly and helpful staff. While some small service issues like unavailable range balls or carts not being ready are occasionally noted, the overall golf experience is highly enjoyed. The resort offers incredible golf packages that include accommodations, breakfast, and special events, making it a great value. It is minutes from other fine golf courses in the local area. Nearby activities also include plenty of bars, speakeasies, breweries, pubs, and good food.
