I have been banking with Wells Fargo for over 60 years. I have always had excellent customer service. I definitely recommend Wells Fargo if you are looking for a bank.

W.F. continues to go downhill. Especially in this region. No service between Great Bridge in Chesapeake, and either Elizabeth City or Kitty Hawk. Told by Customer Service to go to bank and fix ATM card problem. 30 minutes to get there and they say I don't have an appointment so I can't be helped... There was only one customer in the bank! Called Kitty Hawk and told to just come on down. Called back to make appointment to be safe. They took a message and never called me back. Next day I call and am put directly on hold with no message about wait time or even that I was on hold. I waited over 10 minutes before I hung up. HORRIBLE service and you have limited our ability to access our money in special circumstances. You are only interested in impersonal banking using automated systems that cost you less than people do. You want my money, but don't want to talk with me or help me. I'm done with forced accounts, government fines, and poor service!

So I had an account closed for inactivity and owed $30 bucks. I received a letter saying to visit the location if I still wanted it to remain open. I went and had the letter in hand while offering to pay off the balance plus some and have the account reopened. The Account manager told me that I could not and I needed a brand new account that was to be a of a limited value where I was limited to transactions no matter how much money I had on the account. They changed my credit status with them over $30 dollars and I continued to try and give them the money while they refused to take it. I have spend thousands upon thousands with them and the are gonna limit my account for $30 I offered to pay including with interest and place thousands more back into my account?! Horrible business and now My Own Business and banking will suffer because they didn't want me to pay them back. I will bank elsewhere forever

This bank is mis-informed and down-right incompetent. When I tried to obtain a Medallion Guarantee Stamp to settle my Mom's estate they informed me of the necessary documents, ultimately including specific directions for a notarized letter from the co-executor. After 3 meetings totaling nearly 3 hours I was finally told that the notarized letter was not allowed in North Carolina! And this branch is located in and all my communications stemmed from North Carolina! The branch manager told me the team member in another state that was helping her on the phone probably looked at information for the wrong state! I am trying to figure out how to reach the division president.

I went in this morning to make a deposit and open an account. Everyone there was very courteous and went out of their way to assist me. I've read other reviews about differing branches across the country and many of them have been negative. If you're looking for "your friendly neighborhood" banking experience look no further than Wells Fargo at Southern Shores, NC. The store manager went out of his way to help me in opening my accounts, as there were some unexpected glitches that arose. I'm so glad I chose this as my new neighborhood bank. I've banked with Wells Fargo in the past and had nothing but pleasant experiences then as well. Ross at Wells Fargo, Southern Shores, thank you for taking the extra time out of your morning to help me out, I greatly appreciate all of your assistance.
