This has been the absolute worse experience that I've ever had with renting anything. I'm ashamed to say as a Southport native, this establishment even resides there. From the very beginning..2 to 3 weeks after reserving my cart for the week of 4th of July..I rented it from Tuesday to Tuesday as the weekend was most important to me..I received an email stating due to a technical error they had to change my pickup and drop off dates from Saturday to Saturday. They didn't call me- considering it was only a week before, nor did they ask me which week I preferred. I called several times and left messages..finally got a call back...asked if I could extend since they automatically gave me the week of their choice..he stated no..he didn't have anything else available he couldn't extend it. Delivered the cart it was a joke..rusted, taped up, nearly falling apart..the kicker was selt belts all connected to back seat and could only fit a 2yr old or you had to be riding in the back..called several times no answer voice mail full. This wasted Saturday, Sunday and Monday..couldn't drive it without seat belts..I ended up calling the Wilmington office. Picked up the cart added seat belts brought it back. Drove it Wednesday the 3rd..would delay in taking off..on the 4th it wouldn't take off at all a few times- had to PUSH IT a few times. Called on the 5th..no answer..voicemail full..left message..hadn't received a call back yet!!!. If I could take my payment back I would. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE RIPOFFS!

I made a reservation on April 8th for a 7-day rental from 7/1-7/7 for our vacation that was 6/30-7/7. Two weeks before our vacation, I received this email "During peak summer months our rental program runs Saturday to Saturday. Due to a glitch in our system some customers were able to reserve dates off cycle. Please note that we have adjusted your rental to Saturday to Saturday." I called them to ask them to prorate the booking fee to subtract the day they shorted our reservation and was promised a same-day callback which I never received. I ended up calling three times to try to get refunded for the one day, and they told me no because "it's still a seven-day rental," (which it wasn't). Our last full day of vacation was Saturday, and they picked up the golf cart early in the morning, so realistically, we booked and paid for a 7-day rental and actually only got the golf cart for 5 days. I will use a different company if we go back to Oak Island for another vacation.

I would give 0 stars.
We placed an order for a golf cart on June 8th. On the website it stated 4 passenger golf cart for 7days for the price of 208 total. We received a call back on June 18th 2 weeks after the order had been placed to let us know that they were unable to rent us a golf cart because they were sold out and the promotion that was on the website at the time we placed was no longer available. They waited 2 weeks to make a return call to let us know this information. Due to someone and their negligence and not updating their website we have to find another resources to rent from elsewhere. Two weeks is a long period of time to call back and confirm a reservation.Very rude and unprofessional.

This was horrible. The cart showed up almost completely dead. I drove it for 2 miles and then it died on the side of the road. Great! After managing that situation I finally got it back and charged it for a full 12 hours overnight. Drove it about 1 mile and it began slowing down, I did not trust it at that point and turned around and went home. Cancelled my plans so as to not get stranded again. Horrible. These things should be able to go at least 20 miles on a full charge.

I brought my newly purchased (used) golf cart to Golf Cart Outlet in Southport to address a few things. Chris and the rest of the team were fantastic and really helped us out in a short period of time. It’s the only place I will bring my golf cart for anything!

Would give 0 stars if I could. We paid for a golf cart at 10 this morning for our weekend at Holden beach. We were told delivery would be 1-2 hours. We still don’t have a golf cart at 9:13 pm but you best believe we’ve been charged for it! They did not tell us they closed at 12 on Saturdays, nor will they answer the phone or our Facebook messages that are showing they’ve been read by the company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. TERRIBLE!

Alex and his crew came to my rescue two days in a row! They are golf cart ninja’s and really care about their customers. I highly recommend them! Oh and they like Burney’s Bakery so drop off a box when they come to your rescue, you won’t be disappointed!

Alex and his great team completely rebuilt our Club Car which included new body & top, glove box, brush guards, lithium battery, tires, suspension, killer stereo(4 speaker), boss blue tooth amplifier, seats, steering wheel, rear locking storage, undercarriage lights, signal indicator side mirrors and rear foot rests. The pride they had in the work was amazing and it showed in the quality when completed. Integrity is how I would describe the entire experience. Alex gave me his unbiased opinion on the things I wanted. Never felt like they were trying to sell me something. Highly recommend GCO for any maintenance or rebuild work.

They repaired by battery box that had rusted. Did exactly as they said they would except more. Very pleased. Will return. Also friendly service.
