My family and I were in the area for vacation for the week and my boyfriend and I went to Southport for a day trip together. We love looking in antique stores and thrift stores. I never write reviews, but this was the most absurd experience I have ever had. My boyfriend and I (23 years old mind you) were looking at an old telephone, we put our own numbers in the dialing part to see how it worked. She randomly comes around the corner like she was following us and starts being passive aggressive, so I assumed she didn’t want us to touch anything (how would we know since there were no signs). We then go to the front to look at jewelry and she walks up to us to scrutinize and scold us like children about the phone again. Extremely rude, unpleasant, passive aggressive, and unprofessional. We left right away because it was extremely awkward and unwelcoming. I hope she can learn how to be kind to people, including young people. Seems as if it is not the first time she was rude to a younger person. Really weird honestly

Gonna chalk up another one-star review here. As everyone else made mention - the store owner/tenant is about as rude as anyone I've ever met. I can't even believe they get 3 starts.Followed my wife around the store as if she was some sort of thief because we've got a 4-year old daughter, and had the nerve to ask "what were you even going to buy?"If you don't believe me, feel free to read the other awful reviews.

I went in here and immediately was not welcomed because of my age. A older women walked up to us and asked if we were looking for anything with a judgy tone. I replied that we were just looking, I was with my younger brother and my boyfriend while my parents were not in town. She asks us (again with a tone) "I think you should get your parents if you are in here", I told her that they weren't in town and she asked how old I was... I was taken back with the question because we just walked into the store and quietly were looking around. I answered and said I was 18 and she commented that "you don't look like it" after that I felt discouraged and left. I didn't even have time to look around. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Extremely RUDE old woman runs this store. Visited with my son and daughter and law who always buy at antique stores. We entered with the infant who was well secure from touching anything and she just death glared at us the whole time and spoke very rude to us. We immediately left and recommend no one support this store. Too many nice people in Southport to support her!

If you are 13-17 do not come to this store without a parent the old lady behind the table asked me a 13 year old to leave because Im a teen, and I'm known for being really respectful, but obviously prejudice to kids, I left said sorry trying to be nice, but she was very disrespectful. DON'T GO simple answer

I always take the time to stop by this store during my annual visit to Southport. The owner is lovely in both appearance and personality. She was very kind, courteous and patient with me during my many requests to examine the jewelry in the display cases. I purchased a lovely ring and I'll be sure to visit again next year! Thank you so much!

A very fine antique store. Owner moved here twenty years ago and started this business. She said she used to go the UK twice a year to source her offerings. During COVID the locals sorted through their possessions and brought them in, and that's where she obtained a lot of her current items.

The woman working in the store was INCREDIBLY rude and immediately made me feel unwelcome. My family and I were browsing the store when she snapped at us multiple times for having my phone in my hand and also for how were we talking amongst ourselves as a family. We immediately left. The place was very overpriced and she definitely made me bite my tongue. Would never return and urge others not to go in if you don’t want a bad taste in your mouth for the rest of the afternoon. She needs to stay home and avoid customer service.

This is one of my very favorite antique stores!! We have been going here for years because the proprietor gets much of her inventory during buying trips to England and from old North Carolina estates. Stock is beautifully displayed, accurately identified, reasonably priced and as a bonus, the owner is absolutely lovely to chat with. Always a must stop when we are in Southport.

Thank you MRS KATHY for the very warm welcome into your beautiful store. My favorite item was the Flint Stone dinosaur and Fred, and the roller skates oh and the vacuum. So I guess I had a few favorites.Beautiful displays of dishes and flags and other gems. I guess instead of beautiful I should say it was very ELEGANT!She will be celebrating twenty years of serving this community come this October.

Seen a mask sign on the door so I put it on! Walked in said hello with no response back from the old lady behind the counter. Don’t make it 5 feet In the door she looking around the corner I had pull my mask down to say something to my mom and she said you have to leave for not wearing a mask! I said I’m putting back on. Then she yelled and said you have to leave. We where the only ones in there as well! If she’s that worried about covid I suggest staying home…Not at all a way to treat people! NOBODY wants your overpriced junk anyway! Looking for an antique shop look across the street to the antique mall that place is very nice!

My son and I visited this store yesterday, and the woman was very polite to both me and my son. We took a long time to browse, and the saleswoman was very helpful, and not rude. This store has a great collection and so much variety. Will most certainly come back when we visit. And FYI, this is definitely not a store for young children. There are a lot of valuable, breakable items within reach of little curious hands.
