This location doesn’t get much foot traffic and obviously the employees aren’t checking for dates or stocking correctly.

DO NOT TRUST ANY REFRIGERATED PRODUCTS AT ALL FROM HERE! A few weeks ago my boyfriend and I got burgers from here. They still had 8 days til “expired” according to the expiration date, but we opened it to be met with the most pungent, rotting meat smell. We took it back to return it and the store employees said they could smell it from across the counter bc it was so bad. They let me go grab another pack as a replacement, and I opened it before I left the store to check it. Bad pungent smell again. Then we tried a third one and had the same experience. All of this happened IN the store but no one seemed to want to go check the quality of the meats. Not sure if it was reported or not. Anyways, I’ve always shopped at this food lion so I figured maybe it was a refrigeration mishap with a truck or warehouse before the products got to the store. Now it’s been weeks since this experience, and tonight I purchased sour cream and milk. Both products were still way ahead of their expiration dates, yet I took one bite of the sour cream and immediately spit it out. The taste was completely off (sweet with a BAD tang, which is a sign of spoilage), so then I went to check my milk. The milk wasn’t supposed to expire yet either but I took one sniff of it and almost threw up. Now I’m concerned that this location is the one with the refrigeration issue rather than it being a shipment problem. It’s also an EXTREME health concern for people to consume spoiled dairy or meats, and some people, like myself, might unknowingly do so considering you can’t always easily tell without taking a bite or sniff. I should be able to trust the expiration date on a product, especially when it’s still weeks out.
