Left my 1992 Ford F150 here in November. Steve called next day,to tell me problem. He said I needed a starter. He said mine broken. ( It was brand new) he even asked where I got the starter. He told me, that he didn't think they would take it back, because someone had wound something too tight putting it on, and broke the starter. ( He traded it in though) I also asked him to The ignition piece. It was missing silver piece around where key goes in He told me truck cranked fine. I told him I meant I just wanted that silver piece replaced, because I had arthritis in my hand, and it hurt trying to crank truck. He told me it be around 100.00 to replace the silver thing. I said, ok. He called n a couple days, and said replaced the windshield wipers. ( I had not asked him to) He says total I owe is 575.00 He says everything is fixed. He calls me back about 2days later, telling me truck won't crank right. He says it will crank, but I'll have to crank it over and over to get it to. I'm totally confused at this point. He wants to know if he should fix it. I say "no" and I'm so angry that he is charging me 575.00 for something he did not fix. I did not have any more money to give this man. Can I drive it home? I asked. He says yes I can, but I'll have to crank it a while ( over and over) to get it to start. My husband ( who's disabled and blind in one eye, from a TBI) goes with someone to the dealership, to speak to Steve and check out truck. ( Because he charged so much, Steve agreed to break the bill into payments) We Agreed he keeps truck until bill paid, even though he did not fix my truck. My husband asks at garage, and Steve won't give him keys to see if it cranks. He ( Steve) tells him, that he's got to go to bathroom. My husband comes home and tells me, that he wasn't allowed to try to crank it. I am furious. I have someone to take us back. He ( Steve) gives me the keys, but with a strange despondent look when I asked to crank it. I go to crank it. I try for 10 minute at least, and it won't crank I walk off angry Steve goes gets Ether and something else, and they get it to crank while I've walked away. I'm upset that he wants almost 600.00 and my truck is still broken. This is November. Around Dec 3rd I go and give him 200.00. He still keeping my broken truck, that he apparently did Nothing to, but break it worse. I go this month, 6th of January. I give him 330.00 and get a receipt for (300.00) He's says I still owe 71.00. I have already given him 530.00 for NOTHING. He says because he knows the people who asked him to let us take it home, because it's out only vehicle, he will let us take it home and bring him 71.00 more next month. We have already given him 530.00 He also tells us that heater isn't working. He says that something chewed wire into. ( Heater was fine, when we took it) Anyway, I ask him several more times it it will make it home, because it's still broken. I also asked him will it have to be towed home, on phone previous SAT. prior to us going to pay him. He says, no. He assured me, that yes it would make it home while we were at dealership on January 6th, and that I'd just have to spray carb spray on it from now on, when I cranked it. He tells me he doesn't know why it's doing this. Maybe it needs fuel pump, or fuel filter. He tells me to Never spray Ether when I try to start it, but to use Carburetor spray. He says Ether would lock up motor. ( He sprayed Ether previous month) I go to crank it. It won't crank. He sprays carb spray. It cranks finally. He assured me that it would make it home. I leave dealership. Several miles down interstate, it dies. Battery goes dead etc. We leave it on interstate to go to parts store, to try to get part to fix it ourselves. We come back about 2 hour later it's been towed. 150 dollars to get it out of impound. We call Steve-- he does Nothing
