The absolute worst bank to deal with. Wrongfully charged fees and made it right the first time then done it again 2 months later and refuse to make it right even after admitting there were at fault. I have contacted the FCC.

My experience with this branch has been excellent. The other banks I have worked with, are not as friendly or efficient. My experience with Dorthy, Anya and Triston in the past has been professional, personable and beyond the norm in service. You will not be disappointed.

Bad customer communication and balance is never accurate which causes overdrafts even if you say you don't want overdrafts and sign to block overdrafts. Will charge you an overdraft fee even if account is in the positive and will lock you account without any notification. Poor communication on their part, if you call and explain an issue they assure you everything is fine and never note it in the account and don't actually help at all. Non stop problems with them for the past year now and we are finally switching to a different bank because of it.

I wouldn't bank anywhere else. The tellers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I bought my first house with their help. They have helped build my credit and saved me when my identity was stolen. It's been 10 yrs so far and I have no plans of switching it up any time soon

As far as interest rates and all go, great institution, but if you get behind (my first payment I paid like 19 days late because I misunderstood first payment date) they will call anyone you used as a reference or wherever they can find a contact. absolutely ridiculous.

I had a bit of an emergency late on a Friday afternoon and was so grateful for Cassie! She was patient, a total problem solver, and did it all with a smile. Great customer service is getting harder to find! I am not officially a member here but if the need arises, I’ll know where to go.

This is now the fourth time that my account has been hacked two of them was my card and two of them was my boyfriends card. This last time that my account was hacked I had to go through a whole process just to get money back. The lady that I actually had to deal with asked me do you really think at is worth fighting over ? (yes I do) but I did find it completely weird that they were able to take the exact amount of money that was in my account to the penny? strange right 10 out of 10 would not recommend this bank

Terrible bank! Opened a new account with them (there is a fee of $50 to open the account, then you can use it), after raving reviews from family and friends, and they couldn’t seem to fix the issue with my card not working. I returned again after they claimed they fixed it, because STILL my card wasn’t working. Neither was purchasing online by just imputing my card number. They claimed they fixed it again. They charged me $7.00 per month my account was inactive due to THEIR BANKING SYSTEM FAILING and claimed it was MY FAULT! This is NOT my main bank account, so I wasn’t in a hurry considering I work all of the time, to fix the issue. If I was aware of their charge of $7 per month for inactivity, I can guarantee I would have been there sooner. Manager wasn’t In when I went to speak to someone, yet they had me wait 30 minutes to tell me just that. $50 to $22 dollars in my account. Manager left me a voicemail later claiming the inactivity only goes back 2 months, therefore she can only refund me 14 dollars and she will “not be providing courtesy refunds due to non credit federal union errors in the future.” MY ACCOUNT WASN’T WORKING! AFTER NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT NOW THE THIRD VISIT WITH A NEW CARD AND PIN!! I am so glad this wasn’t my main bank, because I would have been so screwed. I’m closing my account as soon as possible and telling everyone I know to NEVER, EVER bank here. Very short lived time banking with them, but considering all of the issues they have, I will 100% take my chances elsewhere.

So I do love this bank but when my card was taken and I didn't realize it til Sunday there was no one to contact and went through a ton of numbers, even scam people trying to cancel it. The location in Statesville, N.C. is great people. There should always be a corporate office with a.person I can talk to, it just caused me a lot of stress, people will steal anything they can get their hands on nowdays.

DO NOT BANK WITH THESE CROOKS!I wired a payment to this bank, it was accepted and came out of my account.. the money stayed out of my checking for some days then got refunded and marked my payment as delequent..They send me an email to contact collections...Every time I call they hang the line up on me..Completely unacceptable for an operator of any sort to hang a phone up on you after TWO holds.I drove two hours to HQ and deposited in person.

I applied for an account with this credit union and submitted everything they requested. But I refuse to unfreeze my credit report to open an account.. They denied me saying it was fraud. How can it be fraud when I sent you my driver's license, utility bill and even offered to show up in person with my ss card. The patriot act does not require a pull of credit, only ID verification. I am filing a complaint with the NCUA. I opened a savings account with another financial institution in January with ZERO issues.

UFCU has been very unprofessional in their home loan process. It took a whole week for them to be honest with me and tell me they want me to go conventional loan instead of USDA loan. They (TRISTAN MORGAN) were extremely slow in returning my calls and emails. And quite frankly gave me the run around I have a stable income excellent credit score (816) to be exact a great potential customer. Very dishonest bank freedom mortgage approved my USDA loan in 48 hours no questions asked. My advice go somewhere else they lost tens of thousands of dollars in interest. Mmm one customer really does matter! Very unprofessional......I edited this post on 4/20/21 after reading “response by owner “ I did email the email address listed below and the only response I got is sorry for your experience we will let the appropriate manager know. Thanks for your feedback?? No correction or solution was made. I look forward to closing all 6 accounts I have with UFCU.
