Please be careful bringing your car to any Tire Max...specifically Eden. Brought my car in for shuddering around 40mph. $2500 I was quoted for front and rear shocks and struts and rear brakes. I dealt with Tom. I paid a $170.00 diagnostic fee that I was told would be taken off the balance of $2500. Tom called the next day and said he misquoted the parts and it would be close to $ 2800 and told me I could just do the front struts and shocks. Told him I would think about it and call him. I called back and he said I could not do only the front struts and shocks... I had to do them all! What? I said okay I will just do the brakes. $500 for brakes. I was already $170 in and I thought I might as well get something done. Tom said no. That $170 is the diagnostic fee....it won't go towards anything. On the receipt he gave me for paying the $170 it says DEPOSIT. These guys will try to take advantage of you. Specifically if you are a woman. They must be getting a commission on what they sell to unsuspecting customers. I called the owner, John Fowlkes, left a message and no return call. Clearly he doesn't know what his other locations are doing. Find another shop to get your work done. These guys will take advantage of you.EDIT: I took my car to another reputable company in town. Two things to note: my brakes only needed pads, not rotors and further there was a clip on part of the brake assembly that was broken causing the bolt to move. The mechanic told me my car was not safe to drive until it was replaced. I'm still not spending close to $3000. $325. That is what it will cost. I have now called the owner twice and no return call. For deposit means a deposit. No where does it say non- refundable if you choose not to do business with us when we try to take advantage of you. I have contacted the BBB and my bank to dispute the charge. Please find another shop to take your vehicle to. The guys behind the counter and possibly the mechanics must be getting kickbacks for what they "sell" to unsuspecting customers.

If I could give no stars, I would. This shop charged me a diagnostic fee and said that the issues I was having with my car would total about $2500. They called the next day and said they misquoted the price and it would be $2800. The diagnostic fee, I told was going toward my balance. WHICH IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE RECEIPT I RECEIVED, I chose to do only part of what they recommended and I was told that the diagnostic fee would not go towards the balance of any repairs. I then received another quote from another shop (BTW that place is Iron Eagle if you need a good repair shop) for just the rear brakes (which was what I decided to move forward with with Tire Max) and it was $215 less than Tire Max. Buyer Beware. I believe that the guys behind the counter must get kickbacks for quoted work. Tom in particular. He says things and then tells you he didn't say them (ie my deposit/diagnostic fee would go towards the work done). I was so upset over this incident that I felt the owner should know- John Fowlkes. Apparently he does not care that Tire Max in Eden is taking advantage of unsuspecting customers....because he never called me back. I cannot stress this enough.... don't bring your car here. You will be taken advantage of.

My wife brought her vehicle in to have her brakes worked on. This business used to be Josh Smith in Eden NC. We were quoted one price and gave a deposit. Several hours later she received a call saying they misquoted by $300. After calling around we decided to go elsewhere. Tire Max would not refund deposit, which our receipt clearly states it was a deposit for said work. I am a disabled veteran and she works so money is tight. She was lied to bye Tom who works there. Do not go to Tire Max is my suggestion. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Have had my car serviced and inspected here several times, but never again. After my last service they neglected to reset the maintenance indicator on my vehicle, which meant that it never alerted me when it needed an oil change. Today I arrived at 2:55 for a 3:00 appointment, and at 3:55 my car was still sitting untouched in the space where I parked it. No communication from anyone on staff regarding delays. Unfortunately, staff doesn't seem to put even a fraction of the effort into communicating with customers who are actually in the building that they put into commenting on web reviews.

Dropped a tire off at the Stokesdale location to be patched. Tire was never touched in over 7 hours. When they finally got to it, I was told the hole was too big to patch. When I picked it up, it was obvious that the tire had never been off the rim so they never tried to patch it. Instead they offered to sell me a tire. But they didn’t have it in stock and would get a driver to pick one up. I would have to wait longer. So I took that same tire to Mock Tire. They patched the tire from the inside and had me done in 30 min. They told me the hole was not big on the inside. I have visited the Stokesdale location on two separate occasions with the same results. They didn’t have the tire in stock the first time as well. I will never use Tiremax again.

I dropped a single tire off at 7:30 am to be patched. it had a screw in the center of the tread. 7 hours later they hadn't touched it. After asking what the hold up was, they said they were busy. 30 min later I received a call stating that they were unable to patch the hole because it was too big but they could sell me a tire. This is the second time that this has happened at this location. It was obvious that the tire was never taken off the rim and therefore they simply tried to plug the hole from the outside. I took the tire to Mock Tire and Automotive and they patched the hole from the inside and had me on my way in 30 min.

WOMEN AND ELDERLY BEWARE!!!!!Got my mother for $2,000For repairs that were not needed.Said that power steering flush was required to pass NC state inspection. The business called and gave her a full list of things that “needed” to be done in order to pass inspection.Tire Max in Stokesdale is in the business of taking advantage of people that know no better.

They are the nicest car repair shop I have ever been to.I got a leaky tire and took it for repair. After some wait my car was called out and I was asked to take a look. There was a nail on the side of the tire and the technician said they cannot fix it as it may blow out. Suggested me to take it where I got my earlier puncture plugged. They did not charge anything for this. I recommend this shop to anyone living in the area of Stokesdale, Oak Ridge or Kernersville.

Max and the staff at Tiremax have always acted like they appreciated my business. I trust them and that is important as my family drive and ride in my cars and that isn't taken lightly. I whole heartedly recomend Tire Max to anyone looking for good service from nice folks.

I had never been here before, but woke up to a nail in my tire and it pulled up as the closest tire repair place to me. I had such a pleasant walk-in experience. They had a short wait, were informative and friendly, and patched my tire for under 30 bucks. I usually take my car to the dealer for maintenance but I've found my new mechanic location! Thanks for such great service- a rarity in this day and age!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went in for a vehicle inspection and also got quotes on a few different tires and all of the specs on the tires within a few minutes. Will definitely be getting my tires from them and any other work done in the future. They actually seem like they care about their customers.

I always have has a good experience at Tire Max in Stokesdale. All of our vehicles are serviced here. The people are friendly and helpful. I would recommend for oil changes and rotations. I bought a couple sets of tires and have always gotten a very fare price
