Walgreens in this area offers a mix of experiences. Several reviews highlight friendly and helpful staff, especially mentioning a kind pharmacist and a helpful pharmacy technician who stand out for their knowledge and caring attitude. Customers appreciate the excellent customer service, with one describing it as a positive change that turned a bad day into a good one and even saved nearly $200. The staff at the pharmacy are often seen as top-notch, understanding, and accommodating, especially when handling urgent needs like medication during vacations or unplanned situations. However, some reviews point out ongoing issues. There are concerns about security and store management, with incidents of theft reported and customers feeling uncomfortable or noticing that stolen items are not adequately addressed. One reviewer expressed frustration over the store's display of Pokémon cards, which seems to attract theft, and suggested better security measures like moving items behind the counter. Additionally, the store’s outdated systems are a common complaint, causing frustration for both staff and customers trying to manage prescriptions and transactions efficiently. Overall, while the pharmacy staff and customer service receive high praise for their helpfulness and kindness, there are challenges related to store security and outdated systems. Despite some negative experiences, many customers remain loyal due to the quality of the staff and the personalized service they receive at Walgreens.
Went to pick up a few items. They were closed. It was 7:19pm and the online info showed they're supposed to open until 9pm.

I was on vacation in Beech Mnt and discovered I had not packed my daily medication. Pharmacist and staff were understanding. We discussed options and worked it out to get me 5 days worth. I am thankful they were kind and so helpful.

The antiquated, unlinked systems at Walgreens are VERY frustrating. BUT the PEOPLE in the Sugar Mountain Pharmacy are top notch -- very helpful and knowledgeable. And so are the folks working in the front. Now, I just wish Walgreens HQ would get their systems upgraded!
