I had a blow out on our rental car while traveling. WNC tire got us into the garage immediately and replaced the tire for an extremely reasonable price. They were friendly and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. Saved us from losing an entire day of vacation!

I find the description that the owner placed on this site saying "free tire rotations and hazard repair for life", amusing. Allow me to explain. For years, My husband and I have given WNC tire our business, since they opened on Highway 70 in Swannanoa. We have never had a bad experience...Until today. I have also always had my tires rotated here because, as it says in the owners description, it was included with your purchase. Today I took my car in, like I have for many years. When the technician finished and handed me my keys, he told me I could check out at the window. I found this odd, because usually they hand me my keys, give a brief rundown of my tire wear, I tip them and am on my way. Anyway, I went to the office window and the man at the window told me I owed $15.00. When I asked him why I was being charged, but hadn't in the past, ( It wasn't about the amount, it was the principal of being charged) he told me that "post pandemic, they started charging for rotations". I knew this not to be true, because we just purchased tires from them last year, and I have had my tires rotated since then. He then proceeded to tell me that he wasn't showing any record of the purchase of tires. But then found the purchase, and said he didn't have any record of us ever having any tire rotations done. I told him that I have always come in to have rotations done, and didn't understand why there was now a charge, when there wasn't in the past. He got an attitude and said "All I can tell you, is that there is now a charge, and you can either pay it, or we can put your car back in the garage and 'unrotate' the tires and you won't have to pay." WHAT?? About this time, a man in the little attached office came in and sat down and said to me very loudly "HEY, CAN YOU READ THE SIGN?" What he was referring to was a large sign hanging on the front window reading "No Karens". Apparently, after reading the multiple other unfavorable reviews, the sign must be a poor and unprofessional attempt to take zero responsibility for shady business practices, when questioned. I walked outside to call my husband, and he suggested that I ask to speak to the owner, because he had dealt with him many times, and had always had a good experience. So I did. The man behind the window said "I am the owners son, and he isn't going to tell you anything different than what I am telling you." I then asked another man in the garage to speak to the owner, and he walked me over. I was in disbelief, that I was standing outside the same office of the man who moments before yelled for me to read the "No Karen's" sign. Unbelievable that This man is the owner!! He ignored me standing there, so I tapped on the window. When he finally decided to come out, he told me that if I wanted my tires rotated at no charge, I had to purchase a separate maintenance plan. I told him that was never the case in the past, but he was adamant about it. As I was standing there, still trying to have a conversation, he shut the door in my face! My husband arrives, thinking it had all been a misunderstanding, and wanting to try and have a rational conversation with the owner, but was told by the son, that the owner didn't want to talk to him. When my husband sees the owner walk by, he tells him he would like to speak with him. The owner walks into the office, with his phone, recording us. My husband tries to have a conversation with him, but he was too irrational, saying that I was trying to get the rotation for free, and that I was screaming at "his tech" (Son) who doesn't make enough money to put up with this. To which I replied 'Did I ever say I wouldn't pay?' He has the nerve to untruthfully say, as he's recording, 'Yes you did, multiple times'. I also never screamed at anyone. My husband told him we didn't want anything for free, we were just questioning why we were being charged now after all of these years. He told

I called and got a quote however older people or disabled people who can't remember the information are treated poorly. Have all your sizes ready for the owner. Try to use home town businesses and they treat you poorly. We were not the rude ones. Evidence of the rude comment. Excellent business practice. We did go somewhere else and saved over 100 dollars thank you.

Very rude to customers. He said he was the owner I wouldn't recommend until attitude changes. He acts like a self entitled and projects his anger on customers. I am from here originally and this isn't typical from folks. I hope you well and I hope you can be customer friendly in the future. I will update the review if he calls me. I'm sorry for your inconvenience. Look at how this business MAN answers comments and that tells you everything.

Rude to customers, acts entitled. Rude in comments and doesn't help customers if they don't have all the information. Berates them if they bring it to his attention. The owner did this.

Worst experience ever. I had a tire replaced on my truck, drove about 30 miles and luckily noticed in my mirror that my wheel was coming off of the truck while going down the interstate. I called to explain the situation to the owner of WNC tire, he was short with me refused to listen and hung up on me. I went by the shop to show him the pictures and videos of the damage to my vehicle. He was belligerent and refused to look at the pictures he also accused me of cussing at him. My intentions were for him to see that they did not tighten the Lugnuts sufficiently so that this would not happen to someone else. I understand people make mistakes but his unwillingness to even listen to me or look at the pictures was absolutely ridiculous. He threatened to call the the police to have me removed from the business absolutely ridiculous not once did I cuss him, not once did I say anything out of line to him.the owner of WNC tire is A hothead and needs to learn customer service skills. de-escalation tactics may be a good plan for his future. The following is my response to WNC tire owners response. You blaming this on rusty Lugnuts is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my life. You can clearly see from the photographs there’s nothing wrong with the Lugnuts or the studs. You did not use a torque stick on my truck I watched every step of the process. The cause of the situation is simple your employee did not torque my Lugnuts properly which caused them to loosen as I drove down the road. i’ve read many of your reviews it seems like you have an issue excepting any responsibility for anything, I even read one of your responses where are you called a customer a Karen and challenged his manhood. I believe your comments and actions are a poor example of customer service. We live in a very small town and I know you supply tires to all the other tire dealers in the area. This is why I bought tires from a dump trailer last week from Walmart at this point I refuse to buy tires from anyone who You supply. As I said we live in a very small community your reputation will get around. I would recommend to start treating people with respect and take responsibility when you’re wrong.

They bent both rims to my bike when popping the bead. When brought to their attention I was cussed, insulted, and threatened with police intervention. The place is a joke. Guy said he has been in business for 35 years but has the customer service skills of an infant. The original gentleman I was helped by when I arrived was great. The guy playing with his big white jeep can suck eggs.

7/17/23 Traveling through the area in a heavy travel van and stopped at WNC Tire for a tire issue. While speaking with a young man at the counter to see if they could check my rear tire and how long, I gave him my name and cell number to wait. The clean-cut guy behind him involved himself unnecessarily when I asked if they were able to just put air in the tire. He said, “there’s air on the corner.” Since it’s a rather large building and I hadn’t noticed which corner it was, I asked which one, he said, “there’s two to choose from, you have a 50-50 chance!” Real nice. I hunted it down at the lower part of the parking lot and paid for the air. I headed to the waiting area anyway to wait an hour or so since I was already there and asked the same young man what the WiFi password was, since it showed, “WNC Guest" on their site. Same clean-cut guy again interjects saying, “there’s No Public Password here!” That and the previous sarcastic remark later confirmed that the clean-cut guy happened to be “Dennis the Owner.” An employee would never reply with the antagonistic and sarcastic tone this "owner" displayed. He instilled no sense of trust so I left and bought a needed new tire elsewhere. After reading plenty of dissatisfied reviews, that was the right decision. You can learn a lot about a business on how a business owner responds to a customer’s complaint. Dennis has every excuse in the book to point the dirty stick at customers that initially came in with a problem and a basic expectation of service and trust. It always ends up the customer's fault. Why bother with WNC Tire where customers are taken for granted when you can take your business to where you can expect reasonable customer service and not have to take a chance the "rude owner" is having a bad day?! ADD-ON RESPONSE TO OWNER'S COMMENT: "As at least one other Reviewer has said, 'you are a liar,' and for a 'grown man,' not very mature!"

I called the store to confirm the price of four tires they had listed in their website. I went to the shop and they started installing the new tires. I ended up paying $300 more than what was listed online and what I was told on the phone. There was no point in arguing with the manager because the tires had already been installed, and the manager seemed quite hot headed, so he’d likely charge me even more out of spite just to have the new tires taken back off.

I purchased a new set of tires in June, no issues there, but i went back in July, as the vehicle had a vibration, starting around 60 MPH, got worse at 65 mph, but went away at 75 MPH.The owner was adamite, it was not the tires, I HAD TO PAY for a rebalance...He stated that it was because my van was old, it is, it was because it had a lot of miles on it, It does, he said it was because i bought cheap tire, I did.. he did rebalance the tires, tried to say I had a bent wheel. which I didn't see that the wheel was bent. bottom line, the left rear tire was out of balance by 1/2 ounce, the left frt tire was out of balance by 1/4 ounce.I have bought several sets of tires here in the past, and i have 2 more vehicle that needs tires, I probably will buy them somewhere else. I will not be talked down to by anyone.

went in and initial younger man was very friendly and helpful. however once I had the tires back in my possession I noticed there were a couple spots where they had bent the rim trying to remove the old ones. when I went in to bring it to their attention I was met with nothing but hostility. the I'm assuming owner by how he was lazily polishing his big white jeep the entire time the work was being done started to do nothing but cuss me, insult the paint work I had done, threaten me with police intervention and demand I leave. saying it was physically impossible for a tire machine to bend a rim and I need to stop with the lies and false accusations. he did not even offer to take a look at the rims. no offer of even a sorry it might have been us but we're not fixing it. nothing but a big screw you and leave. honestly stunned by how this grown man went from 0 to 100 that fast.

Gave me the price up front without me even asking. Faster than expected wait time, and they were done in a flash. Thanks for the water bottles, y'all are great.
