I was very happy with driving my car without any signals coming on to warn me. I realized that I hadn’t taken care of my 30,000 mile checkups as I should. I was very impressed with all the information that I was sent to see problems that needed to be fixed. I will definitely recommend you to my friends if they have a situation arise as I did. They were very helpful and did a great job on my car. Their website system that allows you to select what you want repaired is great. Overall their communication is great and they are truly an amazing auto shop.

These guys (Josh, Frank & Randy) are amazing! after YEARS of giving ALL our vehicles service from state inspections to towing (truck + 3 cars!!) after 3 visits back with same car still under warranty with a former company called “Reservation Tire”?who had to fix the same vehicle 2 times ?& charged us the 2nd time?although it was within the 90 day warranty !! (never took it back the 3rd time so that issue is still unresolved ) ?They couldn’t get us in for days, never returned our call? so we finally decided to find another local place that would be as loyal to us as we were to them & THIS IS IT! ???Randy said they even show a lot of the young college students who bring their vehicles to them HOW to fix it if they ask ! ☺️? They even let us come with NO appointment ☺️. They are up in the hill on the right on the way towards Franklin. no waiting area but a bench outside next to coke machine but perhaps if you need to drop off a vehicle to be serviced they could take you and drop you off up the street at a local restaurant or shopping district like the larger companies service dpt do or get someone to follow you if you can. I’m sure if you’re a widow and alone someone would accommodate you if you call them. They do answer their phone too!

They are the only mechanic I’m willing to let service and repair my car now. I originally used them when I went to college, and I’m still using them now. Great customer service, very personable. The mechanics are great at explaining what needs to be/can be improved and why. Their rates are extremely competitive with nearby shops, and their service has been consistent every time.I’ve used a lot of different mechanics, but when it comes down to price, quality, and customer service - they beat the competition.

I think Dillsboro loves to up charge people like nuts and I found that they wanted to charge me $900 for my brakes. That's crazy to think that I went there thinking they're a really good quality place and honest but really they are shysters. I mean they wanted to charge me $3000 for my car to be fixed with everything included. I was like no and also I felt like I was more like a use book. I understand the business but to charge people for crazy amount of dollars to fix a car especially something that's like like a 2010 Ford focus SE. There are other places in town that you can go to much cheaper. I just think that they are just trying to make a good buck off of you and that's I learned from moving into cullowhee it kinda made me feel like I need to find them a good mechanic, but doing my homework and I went there again I was like this is crazy. I was like I'll go fix my brakes somewhere else. I'll go fix my car somewhere else.

I had a Transmission Rebuilt here, (Mind you I shredded every gear in that car I expected it to be unsalvageable) and This car has never drove better! I drove it off the lot and I was in Awh! Ive never felt that car ride so smooth and shift so easy! Not only did they repair the issues I came in for, they did an overall diagnostic of the vehicle, and found some issues I thought were fixed by a previous mechanic that were not! ( With Photo evidence) They're some of the best mechanics, I have trusted them with two different vehicles, both different makes and models, and each time Ive had an amazing experience! Down to the staff, and their overall job, I would refer everyone with car troubles to this shop, they’re quick, thorough, and knowledgeable, They will send photos, and Explain things in detail to your understanding, and most importantly they do it RIGHT! Ive brought some pretty bad car issues to this shop, and every single time they fix it perfectly! If I ever have car troubles this is the trustworthy and reliable mechanic shop I bring my cars to!

Needed a LOT of work done on an older truck that I had just purchased. Went to see the guys at Dillsboro Automotive and they were WONDERFUL! Open and honest. Reasonably priced. My Buick Enclave broke down while on vacation in the mountains near here, 3 years ago. Dillsboro Automotive was the only mechanic nearby. We were stuck in Dillsboro for nearly two weeks while they worked on my vehicle, finally telling me that it needed an entire new engine. With the help of my dad, we paid Dillsboro Automotive over $8K. They even charged us for all of the fluids they used to diagnose the problem before ultimately deciding that the only solution would be a new engine. Upon finally leaving Dillsboro, we only got as far as Asheville before the Enclave started severely overheating. We actually had to drive BACK to Dillsboro and wait for it to be fixed again. Ever since that engine was put in, my Enclave has had problem after problem, and we've spent thousands and thousands of dollars fixing it, including $2K the DAY WE GOT HOME(!!!!) because it just shut down on the side of the highway. Apparently Dillsboro had installed some part of the engine incorrectly. In fact, every single time something mechanical went wrong after the engine was installed, it could be EASILY attributed to the work that Dillsboro Automotive did. I even had one mechanic ask whether they (Dillsboro Automotive) had ever even installed a new engine before. Whatever they did to my car, it completely destroyed its ability to perform like a car should, let alone drive my kids safely to and from school. My Enclave was finally repossessed recently, after spending significantly more on repairs than the vehicle was even worth. I felt so taken advantage of then, and honestly still do now. My Enclave should have lasted much much longer, and it surely would have, with the proper mechanical work during that time. Sadly, my dad isn't with me anymore to defend me here and help me out with car stuff. But I know he would want me to speak up, because even though the guys who work here were very nice, they kind of screwed us over and ruined a perfectly good vehicle that meant a LOT to me and my family.

I have been using the dealer for all my service on my jeep for years and had grown accustomed to the "you're just another number" mentality there. Switching to Dillsboro Automotive, I was surprised and pleased by the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. My vehicle entered the service area at the appointment time and was completed much quicker than anticipated. Communication was excellent. My experience here has been positive every time. I trust their recommendations, because they explain to me what needs work and why, as well as what can wait. And it makes sense. Prices are fair. Everyone I’ve met is professional and friendly. Communications are great, in-person, by phone, text, and email. And, they work on hybrids! I feel a lot of gratitude that I have a place I can bring my car and experience confidence and peace of mind.

These guys are great. I had a serious brake/rotor issue after hauling our camper up the mountain. They squeezed me in on short notice and provided me with a loaner vehicle. My daughter goes to WCU. If you have a student there, don’t hesitate to send them to Dillsboro Auto if they have any vehicle issues while at school. We are almost 4hrs from WCU, so it’s nice to have a place we can trust that she can go to.

I used Dillsboro Automotive to flush the fluids in my car a few months ago, where I did not have any problem with the services. Staff was excellent, knowledgeable, and easy to converse with.When my partner had lights come on in her car, which ended up being a simple fix in the end, the process of working with the front desk staff was a nightmare. The front desk staff lacks professionalism both on the phone and in person. When she had concerns about her bill and concerns about her car, her questions were easily dismissed and answered as if she was being an annoyance to Matt.I had previously had no problems at this shop and no problems with the front desk staff, so when the lights came on her dash i recommended Dillsboro as it was the closest shop to access with concerns about driving safety. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back for the remainder of the work I needed on my own car.When we walked into the shop to pick up the car, there were some questions we had about the bill and about some confusion with the inspection.Initially we spoke to Matt, who was very combative in conversation and seemed to think our concerns about the bill needed to be “taken outside” and addressed by another Tech Staff who walked into the office. There were some items on the inspection that were not filled out throughly enough and caused confusion about what did and did not need to be addressed for the repairs of the car.The diagnostic fee, a $167 charge, was asked by my partner if there was any way the charge was credited back if the diagnosis or work on the car couldn’t be guaranteed properly after repair, the shop said no. I understand diagnosis is an important step and have never had a problem paying a diagnostic fee - but I’ve not ran into any issues with other shops not being able to credit the fee if it is needed.On the day we picked up the car, I asked again about the diagnostic charge, since the fix for the car was non complicated and took a total of 30 minutes, the other tech staff stated he reduced the charge to half with no issues because of the time spent on the car.The tech staff who came into the office and answered our questions about the bill and concerns with the car and evaluation was very upfront, explained everything well, and had no issue with the further clarification needed about the charges and about the inspection of the car. But he was also visibly surprised that the front desk staff was dismissive and demanded that conversation move elsewhere.Albeit a bit more expensive than other shops in town, I initially felt the shop did good work. But after the experience with the front desk staff being abrasive and seemingly lacking the ability to have a calm, centered, and professional conversation I won’t be recommending services. It was embarrassing for the representation of the shop and it could have completely been avoided. I appreciate the tech staff who stepped in for his professionalism, knowledge, and time he took and his attempt to repair the situation, answer questions, and look over the situation and further clarify the online form for the car as well as the additional recommended repairs.
