This store is unbelievable. It's dirty and unstocked. The management is always in the back office. If they are needed up front, it takes forever for them to come. I mean I went there for some inexpensive curtains just for Christmas, and everything was in boxes on the floor, so I came back a week later, and everything was the same! Right down to the same shopping cart in the middle of the aisle filled with reshops.. I guess they just don't care..the shelves are almost empty except for candy wrappers!! And water bottles...don't waste your time here!!

Beyond needing a makeover & new management (even though it seems like they are always saying they have new management🤦🏻♀️). I honestly don’t know how this store has high ratings unless the company has control of weeding them out. Sooo many shoppers talk amongst each other always stating how gross it is in there. The facility ALWAYS smells like urine and has disgusting stains on the floor throughout, in addition to the bathrooms always overflowed with feces and urine (I even stepped in someone else’s wet fecal matter & had to demand cleaning fluid to wash my shoes off). The majority of items do not have prices, in which you always have to inconveniently bring up to the front and get scanned. Everything is always a scattered disorganized mess. It’s such an unsanitary, unhealthy atmosphere & only getting WORSE. Not to mention their prices have most definitely gone up & quality down (it’s hard to believe how strict their return policy is). I don’t know why I keep giving them a chance, in hopes that it’s going to be different when I do visit it to shop (at this point unfortunately mainly just for toys).
*Have no idea how this place stays in business as far as inspection goes. 😳 🤷🏻♀️

Unfortunately this location is typical of what Rose's has become. I've been shopping with this chain since I was a little kid and in the good old days Rose's was a great business. Regardless of the employee sweeping the floors, this location is dirty and needs some HELP..
There seems to be a new shopping technique at this store that I am unfamiliar with. If you want something small, just open the box, take the item and leave the box/packaging in a random location and leave the store. Stealing is stealing and they realy need a Loss Prevention program at this location.
I know that good employees are hard to get, and hold on to, but this I have rarely been in a merchandiser where not one employee asked if they could help me find something. It is a simple question "Can I help you?" Do they provide any training for their employees?
This location is cluttered and almost claustrophobic in the mass of stuff on the shelves. There is so must extra merchandise stacked on top of the shelves that is hard to walk down an isle and not constantly look up to make sure nothing is going to fall on you.
This has to be about a customer interaction and this location is a serious 1 star on customer interaction and service. I am giving them 2 stars becuase they had some of the things on our list.
I DO NOT blame the location or the employees this is a MANAGEMENT THING and I lay this at the feet of the management at the District/Region/Corporate level.

My husband and I always try to make a stop at Roses in Sylva NC when we go to Cherokee and this evening when we were there the store was a mess and we both had to use the restroom and they were both disgusting like they had not been cleaned in days the floors were filthy they smelled horrendous no soap to wash hands just disgusting needless to say I got my body wash and left I was disappointed in the nastiness of this store cause I love me some Roses

I've been shopping here my whole life. It's an old store and it shows it. The location is a little small - maybe closer to a Roses Express. They always have plenty of great items at good, low prices though. Staff are generally friendly and will help you out. Love finding new things and stuff you can't get at other places!

Never in All my days, have I ever seen a store so filthy dirty! Disorganized, hangers all over the floor, items of every sort, on the ground in all departments, the store had a foul smell to it. The clothes were in such drastray, and so tightly packed on the racks, couldn't even look at what was hanging on the racks. I had a piece of clothing I wanted to try on, went to the fitting rooms, looked in the first one, said no way, looked in the second one, could not believe my eyes. It made me sick to my stomach, to the point I had to leave the store, immediately. I can definitely tell the health department doesn't go in there, otherwise they would shut them down. Disgusting! I am utterly shocked that The town of Sylva would allow such a disgrace to even be open.

I stopped in to look at a few things and after being in the store for only a few minutes I had the sudden urge to use the bathroom. I have a medical condition that causes me to need a restroom often. If I am unable to relieve myself, it usually results in me having an accident. I asked at the front where the bathroom was and the young man behind the counter pointed me towards the back. I made it the the back as an older man, who I assume was a manager, came down the stairs from a back area. He stopped me and looked at me with a "what do you want?" Expression. I said I was looking for the restroom and he quickly said "we're closed now" with a less than friendly tone. Before I was able to explain the urgency of the situation, he turned his back on me and walked away around the corner. This resulted in my having a very unfortunate accident in the store. I understand that it was closing time but to turn someone away from the restroom, even without knowing the situation, is inhumane and wrong. I was clearly in distress and that man had no compassion whatsoever.

This store is kind of like a mini Walmart. They seem to sell everything. They sell air conditioners, fans, microwaves, wall hangings, clocks, bed sheets, pillows, comforters, tents, toys, shoes, OTC medications, groceries and a lot more. Wow!

Bathroom was horrendous, feminine pads everywhere including on sink counter, no toilet paper. Isles nasty and disheveledStaff ignored me when I reported bathroom. My grandmother shopped this store until she passed in 2017 and she would have been shocked at the condition of the store and the lack of customer service and lack of pride in a retail store

Chris Mathis went above and beyond to help me. He went as far as getting jumper cables from the shelf to jump my truck because I didn't have any neither did he. Always a friendly store to come in for anything you may need
