“My Birkenstocks were delivered to my old address in Waynesville. I now live in Winston-Salem. I tried for 2 & 1/2 days online and on the phone to get someone from UPS and Birkenstock to help me with no results. Only one person showed me any empathy at all and that was Christy in Sylva at UPS. Still she had to give me the bad news on Thursday that my package was not to be found. I'm in heart failure and my feet are so swollen I can't wear most shoes. I live on social security and Birkenstocks are expensive so I was out $140.00. Then Christy called me back on Monday. They had made the extra extra effort and retrieved my package. Thank you Christy and thank you to the driver who found my package. You are both so kind. Thank you for doing your job the old fashioned way - with thoughtfulness. “The lady inside was wonderful, helpful and got me in and out hastily. The operating hours are a bit of a mystery. I showed up the first time 10 minutes after 5, (Google lists them as being open to 5:30).. closed. Then 5 min after 9 the next morning thinking they opened at 9, sat in my truck till 9:20 till the open sign came on. Mountain time. Haha.”
