The most ridiculous interaction I have ever had in my life. Took everything in me to keep from cusing the cashier out. Walk up to the self check out cause I am depressed and do not want to deal with people. The self check out is down and the clerk says I will get you over here. I take my arms full of candy and she immediately says I hope this it not all for you. It does not matter if it is or not. It is not your money your body or your purchase. I told her I actually needed a few more items as not only was I trying to eat my feelings but was also trying to meet the limit to get some of my candy for free. I also put a water on the counter. And as you might of guessed after that she scoffs and makes the comment o and a water. With the intention that is made often in the restaurant jokes tripple large meal with a diet coke.
First again it is not any of your business why I want or need so much candy.
Second make your jokes like a person with some manners, behind my back after I leave.
Third if I was on the edge of suicide and this candy was my way to eat my feelings your comments make have saved the candy as you pushed me and my issues over the edge.
You never know what someone is going through so keep your comments to yourself.
I will never visit this store again. It is a good thing they have one every 10 miles.

This is the cleanest most organized Dollar General I have EVER been in!!
Usually all the carts with stock are so crammed down the isles you can't walk by, nor can you find anything. At this location everything was placed exactly where it neededto be & super neat .Melissa, Krista & Kalee were friendly & helpful & super sweet!

All depends on which one you visit and the amount of merchandise they stock. I usually get in and out quick.

The woman saw me standing to get checked out and ignored me. I do not work here so when I shop here I don’t want to “come to work” at a job I don’t work at. Finally after waiting and waiting I use self checkout and she has the audacity to acknowledge me when I leave ! I know she saw me when I was waiting at the counter ! No one want to go shopping and give a corporation free labor, where’s my employee discount !?

Good for running in to get a quick item or two. They are always disorganized boxes everywhere. They say distributors send too much inventory. I would think twice before taking my elder family member in there use to the scattered boxes and what have you. But over all helpful friendly and convenient.
