Mike's Trains is a wonderful place and by far one of the best and affordable model train stores in the state of NC. It has a great selection of trains in all scales with a very nice in-store selection, including a consignment section. There is an "in house" repair shop. The customer service is exceptional, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and informative. They listen to you and either find what you're looking for or suggest what would best suit your needs. The location is in the 'old' portion of downtown Thomasville, with the railroad running right across the street. Aisle spacing is a tic on the small side, but they offer lots of merchandise for all your needs or are willing to get it for you. It is a magnificent train store with wonderful, uplifting people.
Went to Mikes on Tuesday. Found some OScale two rail cars in the consignment section. Spent the rest of the day watching trains on the mainline out front.

Went for my Godsons birthday cause he loves trains and they had a great selection of model train stuff to get started and for those that already have a setup. employees are friendly and helpful. Added bonus if you like trains the railroad runs right across the street right by the big chair of Thomasville,NC.
