I purchased a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee in October 2022. Just after buying when leaving the lot, I found out there was no horn! Even though the inspection was just done and said horn passed! It didn't even have a horn on it! Not even a week later I found out it was leaking oil from the rear main seal! The first rain we had ....the driver's side floor board was full of water! The driver door leaks. Then 2: months later when I turned on the heat.....it didn't work! Neither did the A/C! My daughter just purchased a truck 3 weeks before I got the Jeep. I went to the lot less than 30 days after buying it and brought all these problems to the " manager" Dustin but was told that you can trade it back in but you'll have to take a $2000 loss! No! I paid right at $10,000 for this Jeep with my savings from my disability settlement. I had held onto the money for 3 years while looking for a vehicle so I was so disgusted and disappointed that I left there that day after trying to get Hoyle's to help me in some way in tears knowing that I was stuck with this problem and would have no money to fix it or get anything else. I would never recommend anyone buying a vehicle from this business. You'd think after just spending right at $20,000 on 2 vehicles they would've been more helpful. I tell anyone and everyone I can about the crooks that took advantage of me and my daughter! BTW....my daughter put a review up and was contacted by this man who then says "I'll take you out to eat if you take that review down, one star reviews really hurt us"! WHAT?????

STAY AWAY!! I bought a 2007 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab in April of 2023. Paid for warranty and before I hit the 1000 mile and 30 day waiting period, had to take to Nissan dealer and was informed needed new transmission and radiator, which I paid out of pocket. That was only the beginning. I have not even put 2000 miles on this piece of junk, and has been in shop several times and needs to be checked again! I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars to fix and still needs something else done. I see why it was sold as is, I probably should have seen that as a sign!!

Just purchased a car from Hoyle Auto sale. Dustin Houston was our sales rep. Was very helpful. He has good personality and good with elder folks. Go by and ask for his help.

Dustin at Hoyle gave me the quickest and easiest dealership experience and even stayed 2 hours after closing and waited until I got there at 7PM. I was in and out by 8PM

We have been looking on line off and on for a while and Hoyle listings popped up often. Thinking we wanted to stick with a private seller we didn’t look closely. But after purchasing two cars for our older son (hard to find manual 6 speed v6) from private sellers with all the challenges of getting tags and cash etc. we needed to find a reliable truck to replace our younger sons 2001 Crv that was stolen. We found the pricesss to be fast and easy. We test drive on a Friday night. Went home to charlotte, test drove a private sellers truck the next morning who actually said he had been to Hoyle before he bought the truck he ended up with. Which recommended them too. We decided on the truck at Hoyle! In and out in no time! Actually got to a family Christmas celebration on time no miss mo fuss.

A couple months ago was in need of a car since mine was starting to have all kinds of problems and I needed something quick. I’m single mom on one income and couldn’t afford a new car or used car with problems but I was hoping to find a good buy on a used car. Dustin who sold me the car knew my situation but it was evident that this place is all about the sale and could care less about the customer! I didn’t do research that was my first mistake! Second mistake, I went alone. Third mistake I should have had my own finance set up because this place decided to send me to allied finance who they are partnered up with, and left this place with a 16% interest rate. Needless to say I had to refinance immediately. (First red flag) Dustin let me drive the car for a short trip but was denied to drive it a little longer just in case the check engine light came on because that was one of my concerns (second red flag) Dustin said and I quote, after asking about if what happens I leave the lot and the light comes on, he said “well it’s just like if you go to the doctors and the doctor tells you your perfectly healthy that day and the next day your dead” (third red flag) at the time I was in need of a car and excited because this was my first car I bought on my own so I guess I ignored the red flags and still bought the car. Which was the worst mistake ever. It wasn’t even 5 days and my worst fear came to be that check engine light came on and I was devastated. I was really giving this place the benefit of the doubt and trusting Dustin that he has morals and wouldn’t do that but he did. There’s always taking a risk in buying a used car and if that check engine light would of came on 1 2 3 months down the road then Fine that’s my bad. That’s the risk I was taking and I would have to deal with it but less than 5 days???? They knew! And didn’t care. That problem should of been fixed before selling that to anyone. However Dustin did send me to a Mechanic he knew after I cried to him! The guy actually fixed the problem but you know what, that was a huge inconvenience to my life. Luckily I had my sons 20 yr old car which is his first car he was about to be driving after getting his license. I had to drive this back and forth to work which is 100miles a day. Didn’t have the money to rent a car for over a week. Ended up having to replace a wheel barren on my sons car. So thanks for that because I definitely didn’t have the money to replace that. After the problem was fixed and after asking 3 times for a copy of what the mechanic did to the car that was never given. Doesn’t matter, 2 to 3 weeks the car was throwing another code. ANYWAY, my first experience buying a car sucked, disappointing, costly(2,500 down payment that hurt, that was my savings) and STRESSFUL but it was definitely a learning experience!! Definitely check if the car dealership is EVEN accredited by the BBB because this place is not! 3.2 rating (yikes) Hoyle’s does not give a warranty with the cars they sell, you have to buy one and now I know why. Never buy a used car without a warranty that the dealership should give! If they were confident in what they are selling, they would! I definitely got educated and now know what to look out for. Don’t ever go by yourself! It’s a shame when people only look out for themselves and cut corners to do the least possible for money now a days! It wouldn’t hurt to actually care about the people your selling to and that your poor decisions have an impact on someone else’s life. It shouldn’t always be about money and how many sales you can get. I would never recommend anyone to this place in good conscience. BUYER BEWARE! Funny I just seen another review before I wrote this one a month ago where he said he got duped! So sad

Bought a car from these people gave them 10k...soon as I left there car lot the check engine light came on..went back and showed them ..they cleared the light with a scanner..said to drive it.."should not come back on"..10 minutes later it came on again .got the car home and drove almost 2 hours back to the car lot for the same outcome..cleared the check engine light..got the car scanned at AutoZone and had 2 stored codes meaning all the carlot did is clear the check engine light in order to pass inspection." Alexander county does not have to be hooked up to a OBD2 machine that it's only safety inspection only".."you bought the car AS IS"..I was told..to give a carlot 10k then not stand behind there cars is BAD BUSINESS..I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

BUYERS BEWARE, THIS IS A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING, I purchased a vehicle from Dustin Houston & long story short, he sold me an 2007 FJ Cruiser with 88k, looked perfect online & with pics underneath it looked liked the one, I've been to WV & OHIO & looked at 34 FJ's overall, Dustin reached out to me & asked if I was ready to buy this beauty, I was a little shaky at 1st then I asked Dustin if knowing of the vehicle the way he described it & Dustin assured me it was in great shape no issues, HE LIED ! The FJ has a rotted frame in 2 areas, bad rotors & pads on front along with leaking axel seals in front & rear the both axels need replaced, along with a steering shaft thats corroded to where it hinders steering, rear axel bearings that Dustin first told me they replaced the axels & then retracted statement to say a new wheel bearing was put in, HE LIED, a new wheel sensor is needed now that my dash lights are all on even the hoods hydraulics are bad, After Dustin told me my 2 mechanics didn't know what they were talking about, Dustin should've considered keeping his yapper flapper closed, I took the FJ to a Toyota dealer by my home & they found the 2 cracks in the frame & would not inspect the FJ, when I called Dustin & informed him I was contacting an attorney, HE THEN YELPED OUT IF YOU TALK ATTORNEY I HANG UP, needless to say the NC ATTY GENERALS OFFICE RECEIVED A REPORT FROM ME, so to the guy who softened my heart by telling me he was in the praise band at church, well who knows what that's all about, but this guy has no integrity at all, just ask his soon to be ex wife !

My wife and I saw a truck online at Hoyle Auyo Sales. We drove over an hour across four counties to see this truck. We liked it. Yhe Aministra6ive Assistant was wonderful and nice. The Salesman was late to the appointment and truly acted like we were wasting his time and like he didn't want to even sell the truck. He seemed over worked and busy and we were interfering with his day. We left and the next day bought a similar truck from Hendrick Cars. We paid more for the Hendrick truck but at least they wanted our business. I just saw where Hoyle lowered the price of the truck we wanted to purchase again because they can't sell it or won't sell it. I wonder why? Hoyle needs yo either hire more salespersons because they are overworked or just fire the one that didn't work with us. My advice, dont waste your time with Hoyle Autosales because you are wasting their time. Go with Hendrick Automotive. They will do whatever they need to to sell a vehicle to you. Hoyle gets two thumbs down! I actually feel sorry for them.

If I could leave a no star review I would. I bought my son a vehicle from Hoyle 3 months ago. We still do not have a tag for this vehicle that we paid for in the sale of this car. I have had to call every month for the past 3 months asking about the tag and if the title had been received yet by them. I have had to drive a hour every month to get another temporary tag. I keep getting the run around about the title. My next step is to call an attorney. I’m fed up and my son can’t even drive his car at the moment.

Lots of issues with paperwork and they didn’t get my tag to me before the temp tag expires.( That’s 30 days). Unorganized, poor customer service. Be ready to do all the leg work and make phone calls to get what should be their job done.

“Whew… you smell that, Harry?” A strong stretch filled the air as Harry and Lloyd approached the large landfill of used cars. “Lloyd look over there that’s the stank!” A large sign that read Hoyle Auto. Harry and Lloyd hurried inside eager to be duped and ripped off… most importantly to buy a free rust mint condition 1984 sheep dog. After purchasing their dream machine and totally redeeming themselves… Harry and Lloyd realized it had no engine, no transmission, no rear end. “Harry, I think we’ve been robbed.”Here at Hoyle Auto Sales customer satisfaction is guaranteed! Or your money back! Trust us, we have sold more cars than your local salvage yard!!
