“Tryon Mobile has made an enormous inroad to elevating equine veterinary practice standards in the Carolinas. These are busy vets because of their quality work, but I don't feel like they ever rush through an exam. They are very thorough and go above and beyond in tough times. In addition, they are fast and efficient with health certs, coggins, and paperwork. I have multiple horses that travel regularly for competitions going all the way up to the FEI/ passport level of veterinary care. I have worked with some of the best groups in the country, like Peterson Smith in Ocala. Tryon is right up there with its standard of care (I'm excluding in-patient hospital care simply because I haven't needed it in the Carolinas). I have worked with Dr Mary, Dr Rachel Stellini, Dr Lauren, and Dr Elle... All great vets and all always giving the gold standard of care and directives. I appreciate this vet group.”

“We started taking our three dogs to Troutman Animal Hospital when we moved to Troutman back in 2020. From the very beginning, it felt like home. They treated us like family and showed nothing but the utmost care for our animals over the last few years. We've had to put two of our dogs down over the last two years, and the wonderful folks here made an incredibly hard time a little more bearable. Most recently, we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Bear last month. The team went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and gave us the space to spend his last precious moments with him in peace — even though it was past closing time. They stayed late and made paw and face prints for us that we will cherish forever. The people at this vet are some of the best I've ever come across. They are caring, loving, and understanding of whatever situation you're in. They have definitely earned a loyal customer in me, and I will keep bringing my pets here for as long as we're in the area. Without a doubt, the best vet in North Carolina — possibly even the East Coast.”

“We needed quick care for our dog who was in a fight with a groundhog!! Our vet for years, Harbor Point, wanted me to email a picture because they were booked up!!!!! Lakewood took us in the same day and treated our pooch. Needless to say, we will stick with Lakewood. The staff is professional, friendly and most of all really caring. Oh, AND their prices are not through the roof like our previous vet! Thank you Lakewood for helping us when we needed it the most!!!!! As long as we have animals, we will go to Lakewood.”

“We signed up for an OFA health clinic and due to car trouble we were unable to make our appointment. Jenn at this hospital was so kind and accommodating and we were able to reschedule. Our miniature poodle went in for hip and elbow radiographs, and a patellar exam, and everything went very smoothly. The vet tech who helped us on the day was very kind and gentle and our dog loved him. This hospital has been recommended to me by many people since our move to North Carolina this past June, and lived up to their reputation. Many thanks for a painless experience and a nice drive out to meet you all.”

“This vet office knows what they’re doing. My poor senior kitty is obviously declining, but they’ve given us great information about how to proceed and to help us gauge how much pain he’s in vs if we can elongate our time together with him using the least invasive and most humane methods. We started with senior cat lab work. Shortly after he started to have bad constipation, and they did non invasive low anesthesia, manual removal of some stool, along with a prescribed laxative to help him go to the bathroom ok again. Then we chose to do an ultrasound for his stomach, gallbladder and liver function to see if he has cancer or if it’s normal decline from aging organs. Now the next steps are antibiotics and two liver and gallbladder support medications for one month to see if he gains any weight back and to see if his liver and gallbladder function improves. I wish we’d noticed the signs sooner, but the last 6 months this vet has given my cat great care and I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else! I use Embrace cat insurance and luckily our plan will reimburse a lot of the portion of his bills for illness. If you get Embrace while your pet is very young nothing is excluded expect for prior diagnosis, so I’m glad he’s had this insurance for most years of his life (it already helped us save his life once before when he was a kitten who ate a lot of string from a mop head hiding behind a washing machine in our new rental). Embrace is unaffiliated with this vet, but the vet has been easy and prompt in getting us the correct documents to submit claims to our personal choice of insurance. They may not be the cheapest around but they are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate! We may not have much time left with our boy, but this vet has been prompt, honest and given great care not only to our boy, but to us as a family in preparing us all for his end of life care and what to expect every visit moving forward. Thank you for all you do for pet owners and their babies! Truly impressed.”

“While I'm giving 4 stars, I do still recommend this facility. The place is clean, when I order pics they send really great pictures of my fur baby. They are communicative about anything that arises. Also, and this is key. Everytime I bring my dog here, she's excited. I've taken her to other facilities and she resists wanting to even enter the building. This is the more important factor for me. However, compared to my experience with pet Paradise in Sanford FL, I feel that there is less personal attention, and much less consistency with the daily report card in this location. That is why this facility received 4 stars instead of 5.”

“Took amazing care of my 12 year old border collie! She just had a $6,000 surgery the day the day before at Carolina Veterinary Specialist in Huntersville for Pyometra. She would not eat and I could not get her take meds. She was extremely lethargic and could barely walk. The place in Huntersville said that because it was more than 24 hours I would have to pay the emergency 200 something dollar fee again to look at her. The vet at Banfield checked her out and provided the necessary medicine and after care instructions. Spent all the time I wanted discussing it to make sure i was comfortable and understood the plan. 2 hours later she was eating and taking her meds and is way better than she was. Spent way less than the walk in fee at the place in huntersville. Go to this vet you will not regret it they are amazing. The entire staff from the front desk back are top notch and actually care. I can't thank you enough for taking care of my girl!! Stay away from Carolina Veterinary Specialist in Huntersville at all cost! All they care about is the cost.”
