Eldorado Outpost is a great place described as a restaurant, gas station, convenience store, and outdoor shop all in one. It is a cool and convenient stop closest to the campgrounds and Uwharrie National Forest, catering to campers, horseback riders, and off-road visitors. The store carries a wide variety of outdoors related products for fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, gold panning, or off-roading, though some visitors note it didn't have as much trail info as expected. Employees are extremely friendly. However, some recent visitors express disappointment over high prices, feeling it might be price gouging.
