“The only problem with this and every Dollar General is the staff shortage! The corporate office should have to work 1 week in their stores ( especially on delivery and stock shelves) to see that their employees are overworked, overwhelmed and underpaid. No, I have never worked in retail but I see this constantly in every Dollar General I have shopped at.”
“I love this new store..they have an awesome variety now bigger store nice and clean, friendly staff but of course u have to wait in line sometimes but it's worth it..we all need to learn to have patience in life and it would make a big impact on all of us..if u haven't been yet take some time off and go there...it really is a totally different store and u will love it to...it's one of my favorites so make it one of your favorites...”

“I don’t know what all of these people are talking about with the store not being stocked but this is one of the nicest, well stocked and recovered stores I’ve seen. “I wanted to have my say and offer another review of somewhere and thought about where I could mention and be positive and not one more cranky old fart complaining about whatever. I sometimes get to the dollar tree for certain items. The name of the store will likely change to the two dollar tree some day but the main point is that those working there are kind to me. They try and absorb what a job with the public assaults with. I am impressed with the folks who could but do not just stumble their way toward a pay check.”
“I stopped at the DG in Baton NC. All the sales ad items I was shopping for, was in stock. I use DG digital coupons on the App to save extra money. I know when I shop at this DG, I will find what I am shopping for.”
“The ladies that worked May 1st were wonderful. They were very helpful. I had to blow up a lot of balloons and they were busy. I said it was okay to help the other customers as there was a line. It took about 45 minutes to get the balloons but they tried there best.”

“Unbelievably nice people that care!
My car had just broken down and barely made it into the Dollar General parking lot with smoke fuming out of the hood. After the smoke disappeared, a person drove into the lot and saw me struggling and looking under the hood. He stopped over and asked if he could help in some way.
After 10 minutes, we knew there was not a quick fix and he started to call friends that might be able to help and also another that owned a tow truck. We stayed in the Dollar general for approx 3 hours trying to find solutions since I was 6 hours from home.
Later, I had it towed to a local auto repair shop (Mr Tire) which they successfully fixed the car after a few days of waiting in a part over President’s weekend.
BUT, the real hero was a guy named Dustin. He was the guy that helped me for 3 hours. Dustin also works at the Dollar General, which I did not know for the first 30 minutes of his kindness.
I can only say to Dollar General corporate offices, please keep a great employee and an even better person. He represents your company and service attitude more than I have seen in my 64 years! The other two employees in the store were so gracious and accommodating also. Congrats to Dustin for being a caring and diligent young man.”
