Difficult to get into if you're driving on HWY 1 North. Also, they had handicap parking up front, but we found one in the middle of nowhere, on the side of the building, in a little spot of asphalt that looked more appropriate for those huge dumpsters.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, 1/13/23, the older gentleman employee on duty displayed a marked reluctance to fulfill his role. During a brief stop to purchase a single item, I found myself behind another customer with a basketful of items, seemingly waiting for assistance or an available self-checkout. Surprisingly, the employees made no attempt to facilitate his checkout, leading him to utilize the self-checkout once it became vacant.
Considering the minimal nature of my purchase, I inquired about the availability of a staffed register, as the employees were in close proximity, engaged in unboxing items. The older gentleman responded with a sarcastic tone, offering to check me out at register one, accompanied by an unnecessary and condescending attitude. This interaction left me feeling as though my inquiry was an unwelcome interruption.
Customer service is paramount in any establishment, and it is regrettable that this specific employee demonstrated a lack of professionalism and failed to meet the expected standard. While I have consistently encountered excellent service from the older lady employees during previous visits to this Dollar General, this particular gentleman's demeanor stands in stark contrast.
I urge for a resolution to this issue, as patrons should not have to endure such subpar customer service. It is my hope that management reviews the encounter and addresses this matter promptly, ensuring that all customers are met with the high level of service they rightfully expect when spending their money at this establishment.

This review is for the smaller, older DG location in Vass, NC across from The Piggly Wiggly grocery store.Employees should not make fun of customers that wear masks for any reason. Two employees were making "chicken noises" and laughing at my spouse because the particular mask she was wearing resembled a chicken beak. Not professional, and uncalled for. I currently have COVID-19 and was furious over their actions and disrespect.

This is a super clean organized store and I loved shopping here. But the new girl makayla is incredibly rude to you if you have any questions at all. Asked her where to find something and she looked at me like I threatened her. Litterally sneered at me and my friend. We won't ever go back.

Terrible. There are always employees smoking near the front door. Therefore, non-smokers can not enter or exit the store without inhaling smoke. The store also smells of cigarettes. Very rude. AVOID THIS STORE!
