The visit to this so-called "Complete" Animal Vet Hospital resulted in a never-ending nightmare and suffering for our dog, who was left to die and live in agony. Kelly Holding removed nearly the entire dog's soft palate, which resulted in aspiration pneumonia, chronic rhinitis, nasal turbinate bone loss, regurgitating, and inability to eat or drink normally allowing food to enter the nasal cavity and lungs. Holding lacked the skills, education, experience, and training to perform this type of surgery that's performed by the specialist only. I called this vet hospital in advance to ask if they performed a staphylectomy ( soft palate resection surgery) procedure to which they replied they did. This was something they also advertised on the website. Holding covered this up by underreporting the amount she removed from the soft palate, as she realized that the surgery went terribly wrong. In one set of records, she wrote that 1/4 of an inch was removed and her other record stated that 1/2 of an inch was removed. However, it turned out both of her records were inaccurate after an independent expert reviewed the records and came to the conclusion that nearly the entire soft palate got removed during this horrific procedure leaving only 1-2mm of the soft palate tissue remaining as indicated in the medical records written by the specialists, who tried to correct this unskillful and sloppy surgery, and took all measures to save our dog's life. What have you been thinking by proceeding with surgery that you are not qualified for removing nearly the entire soft palate, and then misrepresenting the facts? The three lower teeth were also removed during this surgery and they attempted to charge us for this. Holding then came up with an explanation that the lower incisors fell out during surgery and the term "extraction" was used mistakenly. We later learned that she altered this statement in the medical records stating that this type of discussion occurred before the procedure and she warned us that teeth might fall out. Holding then also proceeded to lie even further stating that she referred us to a board-certified surgeon, but it was declined. If you knew that this type of surgery needs to be performed by a specialist only then why did you proceed? Your own distortion doesn't add up. The owner with his fake compassion also misinformed us that the dog's condition wasn't caused by surgery assisting in the concealment of the facts. You should not have allowed untrained employees to perform surgeries that only a specialist can perform in the first place! You can't expect much from employees of this place if the owner himself supports this type of behavior. The lack of compassion and lack of any part of responsibility is atrocious. They left our dog to die. If the reconstructive surgery to lengthen the soft palate hadn't been performed, the dog would eventually die from aspiration pneumonia. Our dog had two reconstructive surgeries and a bunch of diagnostic tests done. It will never be the same dog as before after this horrible surgery and it has been left with permanent health injuries. Our dog can't even eat normally because nearly the entire soft palate was removed leaving barely anything from the soft tissue leading to abnormal throat and esophagus muscle control. Their reckless acts of trickery and negligence cost us thousands trying to fix their errors. They refused to pay medical expenses caused by their negligence. They were not truthful in their medical records, because if they had done what they wrote in their medical records our dog wouldn't have ended up this way. I can't describe the grief and distress they brought to our lives by robbing us of the joy of having a healthy dog we enjoyed spending time with. There is more to the story. Never try to destroy someone's life with a lie when yours could be destroyed by the truth.

Dr. Caballero is outstanding, and we are completely satisfied with how she provides care and guidance for Callie. We're so happy to be associated with Complete Pet Care, which is a total step up from where we were serviced previously.

My six year old lab/pit mix cut her back paw during a hike on the Friday following Thanksgiving. We were visiting family, about an hour and a half from home. I tried calling my regular vet, as well as an emergency vet that we had been to in the past, but they were either closed or unable to see her due to a full schedule. I found Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital online and decided to give them a call based on their proximity and positive reviews. They were able to make an appointment for her just one hour out, and even though we arrived early, they took her right in to be seen. Dr. Holding quickly gave me an update and then provided care to my girl. The entire team was professional, kind, attentive and caring. The facility was welcoming, clean, modern and spacious. I was nervous going to a new vet but I was so pleased and appreciative of their service that I wanted to take the time to leave a review and encourage others to use them if they're looking for a vet.

I happened upon Complete Pet Care Animal Hospital while taking an exploratory walk in our new neighborhood. Awesome place that does everything I needed for my precious mini doodle Mocha. I was able to update Mocha’s shot, renew his flea and tick and heartworm prevention meds and schedule him for boarding. The staff is great, friendly and well trained. We saw Dr Thames for our first visit. Best of all, we can walk over to the building in Wake Forest!

We loved the special care our golden, Molly, received at Complete Pet Care Hospital at Heritage. We are so pleased that we will be staying with our new Vet, Dr. Holding, from now on. Thanks, again, for such a wonderful spaying service with your hospital.

I want to compliment your entire staff. From the moment I walked into to the wrong location, your staff went above and beyond to help me and care for my kitty. They called the other location, cancelled my appointment, and squeezed me in quickly. The vet was very kind, gentle, knowledgeable, thorough, and came up with a clear course of action. I was a new client and very much appreciate the quality of your business and all the help and care that I received. Thank you very much!

Did an overnight boarding for our dog for one night and they offered to update her annual shots. Picked her up and received a bill of $761.They didn’t disclose the price at all when we signed up for it. Extremely misleading. Then they took 45 minutes to get our paperwork and find our dog in boarding after bringing out the wrong dog. Terrible customer service and overall horrible experience.

Love this Vet so much!! I just switched about 7 months ago because the vet I was using retired. My pup recently had a stomach issue, and the office had me come pick up some stuff to try before they required I make an appointment and the stuff they gave me fixed the situation. They clearly care more about our pups than scheduling appointments and charging exam fees for every single thing!

I am a pet owner who has been taking my dog Sir Royal McNair to Complete Pet Care for over a year. In general, the staff is warm, friendly and helpful. However, last week I ran into a problem that staff was able to favorably rectify. I signed a release acknowledging a flu virus in the boarding unit of the Pet Center. I returned from my trip after two days and brought my dog home who was "very low on energy, and very lethargic. Two days later he had a fever, he had diarrhea and excessive fluid running from his nose. He went to an Urgent Care Clinic, unrelated to Complete Pet Care, and the service we horrible. The next day, I took Sir Royal back to Complete Pet Care and the staff was fantastic. The managers both Crystal and Kim were very professional and understanding. Lauren Hessler, DVM and Fred ,Staff support, resolved Sir Royal's congestion in two days. I saved us money and time by taking care of Sir Royal. I was very pleased with their service, and they treated us very special and professional. "Hat's off to the hard-working team at Complete Pet Care. Gerald L. McNair

Wonderful visit. My dog (that I recently adopted through a foster program) had a history of not liking vet visits, and we were told by foster program we might need to have her muzzled during visit. However, thanks to the vet and technicians making my dog feel totally comfortable nothing of the sort was needed and it turned into a very positive experience. Thank you so much.

Terrible, awful. Will nickel and dime you. Went in for a cough and came out with an almost $900 bill and "oops..we accidentally charged you 3 times". I'm sorry, what?! Completely taken advantage of and wanted me to come back for follow up, which I refused. Office manager called in and attempt to smooth things over which was a complete joke and tried to explain why they are correct. Absolutely do not recommend.

I LOVE Complete Pet Care in Wake Forest. We have seen Dr. Thames, Dr. Holding and Dr. Caballero and they are all amazing. I completely trust these physicians with my baby. The facility is exceptionally clean which is very important to me as I have seen others that are not! Every tech that we have encountered are extremely caring and competent. You can tell that they really really love animals. I love this place As you can see, I have a cutie-pie that I absolutely adore and trust only the best for him!
