the worst place to buy used things!! The prices are high and in poor condition! $49 dollars for an express dress.

This is place is ridiculous. I went to purchase a set of plates they had thrown on the floor in an open, broken, box. When I asked the price they told me it was a set from the 1930s and the price was $2000.00!$2000 at a thrift store?! Your items are donated and you pride yourself in “helping” the less fortunate yet you want to charge $2000 for a set of plates? Who can afford this? The manager was called as I thought this was a mistake and he said he could do $1200He argued that it’s vintage and worth a lot of money. I googled the set, Jean Pouyat and it’s worth no more than $250 anywhere. Feel free to search it for yourself. How sad that this is what they are doing now and calling it “inflation”.Walk the store and see items like walkers that the elderly need priced at $120. Seriously?!You’re greedy and taking advantage of needy people. Shame on you.

The staff is very kind, it is affordable, it is a blessing all the good Durham Rescue Mission does. Giving to Durham Rescue Mission is giving in very good ground.

I absolutely LOVE this store! I live over 2 hours away in New Bern, but whenever I go to Wake Forest, I always make a point to stop here. The staff is so kind and go out of their way to be helpful. Just yesterday, I had filled my cart almost to the brim with items, and the manager, “Delgado” came over and asked me if I would like a second cart so that none of my items would break, and he promised to bring me a second cart (which he did) so I could continue my shopping. They have beautiful items here, and unlike places like Goodwill, they don’t hike up the prices of donated items, just because they can. Another thing I truly appreciate is their willingness to wrap delicate/fragile items. Goodwill won’t even give you a bag, much less wrap anything. They don’t always have paper or bubble wrap, but they will carefully wrap fragile items in some donated clothing to protect the item from damage. This is so important to me since I live so far away. Another thing they do which I really love, is they have sales and also have a loyalty program that gives you money off of your next purchase. I just can’t say enough about how truly wonderful and kind the staff is. EVERY TIME I go in there, they smile and greet me and after I shop, someone always offers to help take my stuff out to my car, as I always have 2 carts of items. I can not say enough about how wonderful this place is; it is a joy to shop there! Thank you, Delgado and staff, for all that you do to make it a wonderful shopping experience!

Out of all the DRM stores this one is the best. Super clean and organized (bathrooms too). The staff is always friendly and offering to help carry bags to the car. Prices are very fair, unlike a lot of other thrift stores these days

Hello Everyone! In today’s world it is very important to acknowledge the things that are good in life! With that said, I am sending Mr. Delgoto and his staff a sincere thank you for always working to ensure that your customers have a great shopping experience. Here’s the icing on the cake for me…the bathroom is always clean. So…thank you for keeping this task at the top of your list of things to do. Specifically because something like this often gets overlooked and never acknowledged, but today please accept my appreciation for all that you do!!! Keep up the good work!???

I used to love shopping here. Now the prices are the same as retail stores. What is the point of shopping second hand? I love giving them the support, but talk about inflation! Walmart is cheaper.

I’ve been coming to this store for years and used to really enjoy shopping here but the prices lately have been insane. $15 for sweaters (even ones that are really worn, pilled, and stained), $2+ on items from the dollar store, other items for $1 less than they retailed for and some for more than they retailed for. I often find myself putting items back because of the incredibly unreasonable pricing lately. It’s definitely more antique store pricing than thrift. That being said, the employees are always very nice and friendly. The store is also very clean and well organized.

I've been coming here frequently for several years and have always loved interacting with employees--they are very nice! The store is always kept very nice and I love the carts. But recently prices have really gotten out of hand on clothing items, especially shoes. $29 for a pair of well used shoes is excessive and I feel like who ever is managing pricing has gotten greedy. You can still find reasonable pricing in the house wares. I find myself coming here less and less as I can no longer find the deals I used to and I find the pricing unfair.

Nicely organized and clean! Lots of clothing and household items. Seem to have a rotating discount on items with a certain color of tag. Employees were friendly. Will be returning.
