I am deeply disappointed in the way management at the Wake Forest Food Lion treats both their employees and customers. A simple request to speak with another staff member—due to a language barrier—was met with dismissiveness from the store manager himself. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism, he doubled down with the same disrespect I now understand his leadership team models toward their employees.
When I politely asked that he not speak to me as though I were his subordinate—or worse, a dog—I was shockingly accused of being racist. This is not only insulting, but it also highlights a toxic leadership culture that trickles down to the way staff are treated.
If this is how Food Lion leadership responds to reasonable customer concerns, I cannot in good conscience support this location. For the sake of your family’s dignity and peace of mind, beware where you shop. There are plenty of grocery stores that understand respect is part of good business.

I went this food lion and the last few times the produce is out and what’s left is spoiled. The isles are blocked with product boxes so you’re not able to push the cart through and can’t get what you need without moving heavy loads. I opened the dairy door where eggs are kept and the smell was horrible. We are paying higher prices for groceries, the quality should be better. I won’t shop here again. I’ve been to other locations that are in better condition

very small selection of things. no swim diapers, decent water, good meats. just go to walmart at this point

I am so disappointed in this store. I ran in this morning at 8:30 only to have to hear them cleaning the floor with a VERY LOUD machine. It was chaotic as everyone was disturbed. Shopping is not a pleasure at this grocery.
