Doctors Fox and Scott are INCREDIBLE - as is the entire staff! They have a genuine love for our fur babies. Anne at the front desk loves Udon Noodle and it shows. I love this place, especially love the new location - so much easier to get in and out. These folks are absolutely top drawer. They took care of my ancient Siamese, Stinky Mookus, and were there for her when it was the end. I just cannot say enough about these wonderful people. They are the best!

Ms Ann at the front desk knew us immediately. Ziva loves her! Then we had her annual check up and all her shots and she didn't move. Ziva is used to Dr Scott and just sits there until she is finished. From the minute we walk in the door until we leave everyone makes my little Diva feel special. Ms Ann is priceless she gives Ziva rubs under her chin or belly before we leave. Next month I get to take Tony Ziva's brother for his exam and shots. So excited because they will be in there new location. I wouldn't take my babies anywhere else.

I've went to this vet a number of times. Every time is worse than the previous visit. I've seen every vet in the office and they are all very untrained to work with dogs with anxiety. Dr.Scott and Dr.Fox were rough with my dog when she got nervous and we had to put a muzzle on her for precaution. Today specifically, Dr.Fox felt that it was appropriate to grab my dog by her front legs, squeezing them very hard and shaking her... all because she was lifting her paws to reach for her muzzle. I understand concern of a dog taking off their muzzle, however, the muzzle was very tight on my dog and if I had the chance, I personally would've held her front paws to prevent her from lifting them up. The doctors do not have any patience whatsoever. From the time that Dr.Fox came in and handed me the muzzle, to the moment where he was shaking my dog and tightly squeezing her legs, it had only been approximately 30 seconds. Once again, zero patience. There is absolutely no reason for the Doctor to be manhandling my dog. It's a shame and disgrace that these vets don't seem to have any behavioral knowledge of dogs. I have returned to this vet so many times because it is the only one in the area. I wanted to like this practice and continue going here, but after watching both vets be rough with my dog (on 2 separate occasions) who struggles with anxiety, I will no longer be a client of this practice. Anxious dogs need care too, without being treated like a rag doll. If you have pets with anxiety, I highly recommend taking them somewhere else where the doctors have patience and knowledge of dog behavior.

We had a rough summer with our dog and cat. When we first saw Dr. Fox, our dog had been vomiting and we found out he had a large tumor on his spleen which had probably metastasized to his liver. After two weeks, he was no longer eating and vomiting profusely so, we had him euthanized. As I cried over the phone to make the appointment, the receptionist was so caring. A couple weeks later our cat got scared during a thunderstorm and unbeknownst to us climbed inside my husband’s recliner. When he activated the recliner we heard the cat screaming and when we got her out part of her tail was missing. We took her to the emergency vet because it was a Saturday night. Surgery was performed and I took her back to Dr. Fox for her stitch removal. He was so kind as well as the office staff. My cat is now healthy and happy again. Thanks Walkertown Vet!!

It has taken me some time to write this review as I truly was not sure how to put my thoughts down on paper without sounding so angry. The annual care that our dogs received while patients here was good and staff was tentative to both dogs needs during check-ups. The staff and doctors were kind to us, but our beloved Winston, was failed in his time of need. Winston became sick w/chronic diarrhea Dec 2020 he was seen and tested for Addison's Disease twice due to him being very lethargic and loss of appetite. Both test came back negative so it was determined in March by Dr. Fox that he had Colitis. It seemed at the time this was a good diagnosis even without any testing such as stool sample, x-ray of abdomen as he showed symptoms of Colitis. By this time it is 3 months since he was seen for his chronic diarrhea. He is losing weight, loss of appetite and no energy. I am in constant contact with Dr. Fox as I am not sure what to do for Winston. Many articles I read about Colitis state that it can be treated by changing the dogs diet, they can be allergic to certain foods/ingredients that we might not be aware of. He was put on a prescription dry food, after 4 weeks no change. I took it upon myself to change up his food thinking that he could be allergic to chicken, after 2 weeks still no change. Winston starts to deteriorate and he is now needing to go outside 24x7. He spends most of his time out in the yard straining to use the bathroom, he is now passing blood in his stool. I call again to discuss this ongoing issue as it is heartbreaking to watch Winston day & night go through such an ordeal in which I can't offer any relief for him. The one person that can do so now seems to be inpatient with me since I call every few days seeking help. I bring Winston back on 5/17/21 and request a stool sample since his last one was in Dec.and I think that this is a test that should be done. He does do an Intestinal parasite exam along with an x-ray of what I believe must have been his abdomen, Dr. Fox states that everything looks good on x-ray and stool. He does provide us with a medication that can assist with Colitis and says within 7 days we should see an improvement. Day 7 comes and Winston has not improved, I once again change up his food and put him on a Limited ingredient dry food. I call Dr. Fox to inform him that Winston is not doing any better and at this time I tell him that I change his food again. Dr. Fox is not happy with me for doing so, but what I don't understand is why anyone would fault me for this as it is now 5 months and Winston has lost 6lbs, his diarrhea is getting worse. I ask Dr. Fox on 6/2/21 if we can seek help from a Specialist. He tells me that he could make some calls on Thursday, but everyone is so busy with patients and who is to say that Winston is anymore of an emergency than another animal? My dog has been sick for 6 months, he is dying right in front of our eyes and he doesn't think he needs to see someone who can help him? NOTHING was done for Winston in 6 months with the exception of the same test. The one person who should have helped him and recognized after 3 months he was getting worse should had referred him out. I would have not held anything against Dr. Fox as I know he is not a Specialist. I took it upon myself to take Winston to the ER the next day. He was seen by the Internal med team, a stool sample was taken and within 15 minutes they stated he had upper GI issue and knew this from his stool sample. I was asked why had this been the first time they were seeing a dog who had chronic diarrhea for 6 months? They had just validated what I had been feeling for so many months, Winston needed to be seen by a specialist in which Dr. Fox thought was not necessary and certainly not an emergency. On 6/7/21 Winston was laid to rest after just turning 5. Diagnosis, cancer in every organ, how was that missed on 5/17 x-ray? Winston suffered unnecessarily for so very long and our Sweet Boy deserved better.

Took one of my dogs there to get her nails trimmed and when they were done they brought her back out and said she did great, but never mentioned that they had clipped one too close and she started bleeding and I didn't notice it until I got her home 10 minutes later. That is not right in my opinion.

I've been taking my Shit-Zui there for over a year they have been very friendly and caring and very helpful yes it is a little expensive but I want what I pay for and thats the best for my family member (Precious) They dont push services on you that you don't need like most places do. I will continue taking Precious to them for as long as she lives. which I hope is for a very long time.

I took my cat to be groomed. Karoline I think is the groomer. She did a great job and my cat looks great. I'm still having trouble getting used to his new look but that's me nothing they did I'm just not used to seeing him without all his fur. I was having trouble finding a groomer for a cat and they got me in pretty quick and reasonable priced.
