We enjoyed a nice lunch here today, the restaurant is located on a quaint street just a short walk from the waterfront. There was just a short wait to be seated, and our server Cody came to our table quickly after we were seated. She told us the Daily Specials and answered any and all menu questions we had since this was our first visit. She was very polite and helpful, she had several tables in our area and I noticed how she kept a constant check on each and every one. We ordered one of the Daily Specials which was a SoftShell Crab Dinner with 2 sides and we also ordered the Rajun Cajun Pasta. Both meals were served hot and fresh with just a short wait time. The crabs were cooked well, lightly fried and tasted fresh and not overly greasy, the pasta dish was delicious, you have a choice of protein with your pasta (Blackened Fish, Shrimp or Chicken) tossed in a creamy Alfredo like sauce with bacon, mushrooms, peppers and green onion. Both meals were a good portion to be filling without having any leftovers. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. We enjoyed our lunch and would stop by again if we're in the area.

We had reservations at a different restaurant tonight, but after waiting 45 minutes with no service at all and having to shout at each other over the crowded, noisy diners, we decided to leave and try another place. Grub Brothers was open, had available seating, and a good menu. So we came on in, were seated promptly and received great service from Dana, our waitress. Our beers and meals were all good, though my pasta was a little too salty for my taste. The price was just right, the atmosphere pleasant, and the staff friendly. We will come back here on our next visit to Washington!

Food was good overall, but parts were just ok. For example, my burger was excellent, but the bun was cold and chewy. 30 seconds on the grill and it would have been great.Seems to be a local watering hole. Decor is weak. If I am back in the area I might go back. Fun menu with a lot of different, tasty choices.

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The old bay shrimp were great and I liked it came with melted butter not just cocktail sauce. The cat fish broiled added to the wedge salad was equally delicious and cooked well, not over done. Honestly fish cooked well is soo important too many places over cook it. Definitely will go again and explore more on the menu...almost forgot to add the blue cheese dressing is da bomb

Nice place to grab a good homemade cheeseburger and fries, great friendly service, nice bar with a great selection of draught and bottled beers and spirits. Dining room and bar service. Well located.

Food and service have gone downhill dramatically. Bartender spend more time processing Keno tickets for one customer than the rest of the rest of us at the bar combined. They have removed the peanuts, changed the gravy (it's terrible now) and the fries (they're awful now) . The pimento cheese burger my wife had had a miniscule amount some sort of cheese, but it wasn't pimento. Wont be going back, which is a shame because this place used to be pretty good.

Food is always consistently good and the staff here is very personable. Drinks are great and as strong as the staff. If you live here you likely eat here at least 1-5 times a month for good food. I know we do most months.

We have been there prior and I honestly just didn't pick the best thing for myself. This time I picked the French Quarter Dip and it was fantastic. Very tasty. The fries were good and service was great. But at the end when we were finishing my fries we found a dead bug on my plate. We were just processing it when our check came and food was taken away. We should have said something but didn't want to raise a stink. Like I said food and service were great, but finding a bug definitely gave me the ick and marred an otherwise good experience.

We ordered the nachos/"possum got into the trash" something or other - which were good but served in a convex tray that made it appear to be larger, barely hit the spot and very little chicken. Surely the economy makes things so tough on restaurants and every where you look portions are reduced, from ice cream to coffee but this was a bummer for $12. The beer was ice cold and $7 a pint. Nice personable waitress. We will return for sure, it's a cool little spot and can't be judged on a Sunday. High hopes as this is a nice little spot with nice people.

Terrible service, always out of something when I go. Went to get a margarita flight one time they told me no and wouldn't say why. Food is alright fries literally smelt like cigarettes one time. Would not recommend this place.

Just good food at a reasonable price! Large burgers, you can get them just about any way you can imagine. The fries are a great side in either regular or sweet potato fries, add gravy for the true southern touch. Cold beverages of all kinds!

The menu is different and offering diversity. The staff are very nice. Relatively large restaurant and a good chance you won't wait. The "Gruben" had very little dressing dressing. I feel like it was an off night. Very good quality marble rye and pastrami. I enjoyed the fried jalapenos and their signature sauce. Onion rings were spot on. The restaurant has a retro balcony/ bar atmosphere. Needs flooring and some renovation would push it over the top.

Food was good. Last few it's been a half hour plus wait. Not a huge deal. Tonight I ordered a drink that was so back I sent it back. Then after waiting over an hour I asked a waitress, "it already been over an hour." She responded, "yes, we're very busy." Half the table were unoccupied. My response, "no you're not, you're understaffed..." They weren't very apologetic. Next time I'll ask better questions upon arrival. Our waiter was nice.

Excellent little place in downtown Washington. We found them because they were one of the few places iopen on Monday nights in town. Everyone's food was very, very good. Wait staff were helpful and pleasant. Would definitely return.

Only got two stars because the service was good and the wings were ok, but the blue cheese had heavy onions in it. Who puts raw onions in blue cheese. Everything about my burger tasted old. The meat, the mushrooms, and the roll all tasted old. So disappointed would never eat here again.
