My wife and I would like to give the Washington NC Post Office a five star improvement. Ms. Pat and her staff have really showed improvements over the last several months delivering my mail. They're doing a very good job. Thank you.. My mail carrier name is Danyelle McCullough. She's always kind, polite and consistent with delivering the mail. I get my mail everyday. Thank you Danyelle!!

The most useless, worthless, and unreliable post office in the country. Need something delivered on time, or just delivered at all? Good luck! Take it to Greenville instead. Don’t waste your money on priority mail either, since it’ll take them 2 weeks to ship your package, that is, on the rare occasion they manage to not lose it.
They frequently fail to deliver packages too. They’ll put “dangerous animal - couldn’t deliver” when there are no animals on your property. Lazy, unprofessional, garbage.

Mail hardly ever is delivered on time. Usually at 8pm if at all. Only nice thing to say is delivery driver is nice. All other staff at the office is extremely rude.

They need to fire the postal worker who delivers to quail ride apartments. They are either stealing mail or just putting peoples mail anywhere but the right box. I get the wrong mail damn near every day. My debit card and IRS mail seem not to ever show up in my box. This is ridiculous. I get other peoples mail but not mines. I am going to force an investigation into this post office. This is seriously a problem. They are not willing to handle on their own. I get informed delivery, and it tells me what items are supposed to be in my box and for me bot to get it. It's insane! I hate this this town and it's services.

The manager is very unprofessional and rude. I have had several instances in which my mail and packages have arrived open to my home. She never seems to care to resolve the situation and in fact was very disrespectful to me when I called to complain about my issue. I have experienced my mail arriving opened since March 2024 and still she does not fix the situation. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. Also, notice the parcel says ‘leave if no response’, I was never contacted by the carrier when it was delivered instead he just left it. That is because the carrier knew he was guilty of opening my package. The manager definitely needs to be fired as she cannot control her staff. Opening citizen’s mail is indeed illegal. If it happens again I am suing the local USPS.

Mail not delivered on time. I signed up for informed mail delivery. A waste of time. Some days no mail at all. No mail in two days. Wasington post office is a joke.

Receiving your mail at 7 to 8pm at night is traumatic! Having to wait on your mail that holds important information has been difficult to deal with. It’s so disgusting
that this post office this horrible when it comes to urgency and delivery. It’s so distasteful to know that the staff also is rude and do not care about the people in this community. I wish there was a complaint form to fill out I would do it a million times until there is change! THIS POST OFFICE IS RIDICULOUS

I am having lots of issues with our mail (person). I hand mail in the mailbox 2 days straight this week and no one came to pick it up. I had to take it out and drive to the post office. I have had the mail carrier to stop, leave mail and not pick up the mail in the box to go out. The flag was up. Also, when they do come, on some days, they don't like to close to lid. Left open on a very busy HWY, mail in street. Please talk to your carries and tell them how important it is that a business needs the mail service to take care of our mail to and from the post office.

There are a lot of bad reviews for this office, I can only speak from my personal experience, but it was positive. A package was "missing" and I called this office on a Saturday morning, not expecting much. The lady took my info and my phone#, she called me back in 5 minutes, with my package in hand, asking if I wanted it delivered or if I wanted to come in and get it. That is nothing to complain about.

I will start by saying the employees were nice…. On March 15th at approximately 12PM, I went to the Washington Post Office and asked the employee when the court papers that I needed mailed, would be arriving. She said probably Saturday (since it was only going 10 miles away to Chocowinity). Then she said the system said it would be delivered by Monday. It is now Thursday, and the papers still have not been delivered. I paid priority express mail with the tracking number and even bought a priority envelope from them, because I need proof for the court that she was served. The paperwork has still not arrived, and it has been now almost 4 days past there expected delivery. No signature was required. Just for it to be put in her mailbox. I mailed the papers from the Washington post office and she lives in Chocowinity, 10 minutes away. What’s the point of priority shipping and a tracking number when I am just getting told it will probably continue to be delayed? I understand things come up. But how much could possibly come up from the time I paid for priority mail at Washington post office and the 10 minute distance to the receipt’s house? I properly addressed the envelope and the mailbox is accessible. There is no reason for this
