I enrolled my daughter in this horse riding summer camp for two weeks, after receiving a specific agreement via email for a $15/week discount—$30 total—to be issued as a check at the end of her stay.
That check never came.
When I followed up, I was told the person in charge was “traveling” and would get back to me. Weeks went by. I continued to follow up through both email and phone calls, but received no response at all. It’s now been over a month with complete silence. At this point, it’s clear the business has no intention of honoring its word.
Looking back, it's honestly disturbing to think I entrusted my child to a place that shows zero accountability or ethics. After digging into their older Google reviews (some from four years ago), I realized this isn’t a one-time issue. The pattern of unresponsiveness and disregard for customers hasn’t changed.
Needless to say, I pulled my child from the camp and won’t be returning. I would never recommend this place to anyone—not for summer camp, lessons, or anything else. A business that works with children must be built on trust, and this one completely failed to uphold that.

We have really enjoyed the lessons here. It's more expensive than other places but the trainers are very good at what they do. They also have a good variety of horses to ride. Classes are small and trainers pay close attention to each rider. Everyone is very nice and there's always someone ready to help if you're struggling with your horse.

We chose Providence Equestrian Center for a week long camp for our daughter based on a friend’s previous experience. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The facilities appeared to be very nice, but it seemed the camp was lacking organization and supervision.Our information packet stated there would be a show at the end of the week so we could see what our child had been doing. Specifically it stated we would know on Monday which day and time the show would be. After not hearing these details, we emailed and called on Wednesday so we could schedule accordingly. We received a response Thursday evening that the staff would let us know during drop-off Friday morning what time we would need to return to see the demo. This was not a lot of time to make arrangements, but we would make it work. The staff at drop-off informed us that we should return at 11:55 for a 12:00 demonstration. We arrived at 11:35 and our child’s group was already in the arena riding. We assumed this was just their daily practice ride. More parents arrived at the 11:55 time and then their practice ride ended just after 12:00. We were then told that was the show and there was nothing else planned for our kids as another group entered and saddled up.We’re so thankful that we arrived early and at least got to watch our child practice. So many other kids and parents were crushed with disappointment. We thought this must’ve been a mistake and looked around for a director and there was none. Only teenage instructors who really didn’t know what the schedule/plan was. There appeared to be one actual adult on the premises and she was in the arena with the horses. In retrospect, it’s rather worrisome to think of dropping a bunch of young children off without adequate adult supervision.We certainly hope PEC can figure out a way to get organized as it did seem like a nice place. But until then, our horse camps will be with another outfit.

so i got singed up for lessons last summer and the first day i got there i expected to be introduced to the horses that they use for lessons but instead they just told me to go check the bored when i got there i saw what horse i was riding and i went and asked if it was the right horse because i knew that the horse they put me on was short and i'm tall and so that's why i asked they told me no and sent me to get woody so at the time i had no clue where woody was because the staff did not tell me anything so when i got him i tacked him up i just think out of all that happen that summer that i'm not going to be coming back it was fun being there while it lasted but everything was just too confusing for me i wish they would introduce you to the horses when i first came also i did not get a reply back when i sent the email that i wanted to take lessons until a couple weeks later the email staff is vary slow like you have to keep sending a sending until they reply and that takes a while

Great facility and people. We love that lessons run on time and students get experience with a wide variety of horses / ponies. The barn shows are wonderful for the kids - there are appropriate classes for all experience levels.

Interested in sending my daughter to summer camp but can't get any response from this place. Requested information by email and received generic confirmation response. Followed up by phone and left voicemail a week later but haven't received any feedback. Disappointed to say the least.
