Great food. Don't try the green sauce. Has a very similar taste to Play-Doh. Other than that I would recommend the dining. One thing that seemed a little peculiar was they didn't have honey mustard or ranch.

The food - oh my the food, my taste buds were having a party. However, the caveat the desert was served in a cast iron dish and burnt my fingers. This is a law suit waiting to happen, either train your staff or remove it from the dish or remove it from the menu. I shutter to think if a child touched this, it would have taken the skin off. Shame on them for not warning me.

Quite literally the best meatloaf I have ever eaten, the other members of my party had the trout and the perloo and they were both exceptional as well.

The pan seared trout with the fall succotash was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere as fantastic and the house whiskey sour was refreshing. I definitely plan on making a return trip when I come back in the fall.

They can run out of some of their best menu items in off season.

Really great food. Southern comfort food yet a little gourmet. Yeah, I like the meatloaf. But the duck duo and shrimp & grits are also great.

We were in town for a family getaway and tried this restaurant. It was lovely. The service is great and the food was delicious. We tried the duck, the fried chicken and the trout as well as the duck wings and the chicken liver pate. We finished off with banana pudding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I made a Valentine’s Day reservation a week ahead of time. They called me 29 minutes before the reservation time to describe they had a limited menu, to not include their signatures that we were craving. I scrambled to make reservation at another Vday worthy restaurant, only to find they were full. They had ample time to make us aware of the limited menu, 29 minutes prior to the reservation on Valentine’s Day is obserd.

We just love Birchwood Hall! Anytime we are in Waynesville it is a have to eat location. We've never had a bad meal or experience. We usually end up getting two separate entrees and then splitting them so we can enjoy the new dishes. We were there this weekend and enjoyed the Birchwood burger with side salad and the skillet chicken pot pie. The burger had pork belly as well as the burger. It was probably one of the best burgers I have had. The side salad had homemade green goddess dressing which was incredible! Could literally dip the fries in it!The skillet chicken pot pie had a puff pastry crust laying on top of it. The flavor of the pot pie was probably the best that either my wife or I have had. We could eat that 5 days a week! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere great and for once the wait was short. You can't go wrong here. We just wish they had a location a little closer to home in Asheville.

Creative, southern inspired menu, friendly, relaxing environment, fabulous service! The food was absolutely delicious and prices were great. We shared "From the Table" Tomato Pie and Collard Green Casserole as well as Pork Belly Grits with heirloom popcorn which, to our surprise, was a perfect garnish. Pork belly was heavenly! Tomato pie was flavorful and fresh. The collard green casserole was to-die-for! We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best meal we’ve had in a long time! The country fried portabello is my new favorite vegetarian entrée, anywhere. The pork chop was incredible, Benny fries and Pamento cheese were amazing too. A unique menu and excellent service.

Enjoyed the fresh Arugula, beet and goat cheese salad with added grilled chicken. The portion was generous and dressing flavorful. My friend ordered the chicken pot pie with side salad and was pleased. They offer a nice craft cocktail menu and the server was friendly and attentive. I will return when back in the area.

Absolutely love Birchwood Hall. Have been going since the doors open and have never had a bad experience. Just had lunch there, and it did not disappoint. Had the Chop Steak. It was delicious.
