With the professional assistance of both Traci English and Stacey Lessnick from the Hendersonville High Country store we purchased the Suarina Wall Shell Unit by Woodbrook for our Dining Room. We are extremely pleased with how good it looks and thank them both for their suggestion and persistence working the logistics! This adds to the other furniture and wall items purchased at High Country Furniture & Design.

My husband and I bought a home in Waynesville and had to completely furnish anew. After weeks of searching for quality furniture we discovered High Country Furniture and Design on Dellwood Rd in Waynesville NC. We are incredibly happy with our furniture and rugs but most importantly we are incredibly happy with the excellent customer service. Teresa is amazing and so is the entire staff. Ann, the owner is so gracious and easy to work with. Tracey, James, Chuck, Marcus and all the rest of the staff are wonderful. They go above and beyond. We are dedicated customers and highly recommend a shopping experience at High Country.

We bought a couple of very nice barstools from High Country over the summer. 6 months later, we came home to find that the wood seat of one had split in half, so I took it in to High Country and with no questions asked, the gentleman took the stool and said “we’ll repair or replace it.” I guess it wasn’t easily repairable, so this weekend I picked up the replacement. How nice to have a company stand behind their products and treat customers so nicely. They’ve for sure earned our future business!

Purchased a large amount of furniture from this company. Immediately had trouble with the sectional we purchased. The recliner section stopped operating. The switch was apparently bad and stuck in the up position. Additionally, the end recliners sagged to the right when up because no support feet were built into the couch. They did come out and diagnose the faulty switch and supposedly ordered the switch. The switch arrives several months later only to find they ordered the wrong switch. After multiple calls and no response, we have finally given up. They are non responsive and have never cared to follow up to address the faulty sectional piece. Very disappointed in this company and will never use them again.

I LOVE High Country Furniture! I look forward to their ever changing inventory. We have purchased many items there and I am extremely pleased with my experiences. I am so sad to see that Margaret has retired as she has been my go to person for many years. When a coffee table came in and wasn't right, she immediately got on the case and got us the correct one even in these times. Great store.

Ordered a chair in August, was told to expect delivery in October. Went into the store early November and was told it would be in by the end of November, called today 12 /28 and was told hopefully by May 2022. Deposit made of $650. Asked to speak to the manager at 1 pm = nothing. Unacceptable.

Do not go to this store. If you do, don't deal with Margaret. She gave me a price for blinds and when I told her that was too expensive, she sent me a new quote that was much less expensive. I asked her if this quote included my entire home because the difference in price was significant. She said that the new price did in fact include my entire home. I drove 11 hours to my new home to have the blinds installed only to find out she did not include the upstairs of my home. After I spoke with her I was sent an estimate to do the upstairs that brought my total higher than the original estimate she gave me that I turned down. She did nothing to work with me on this price after straight up lying to me. Also, before she did this to me, we wanted to order furniture from her. The only way she would order anything is if you paid IN FULL at the time you ordered. She would not take a deposit and then allow you to pay the balance on delivery. When my furniture was delivered a nightstand was not included. Of course she did not bother to call ahead to tell me this. We actually spoke on the phone when the furniture came in & she did not mention a word. She just ordered another one without even asking me. When I questioned her, she told me it would not be in until mid-late December. I can't wait until then. So, I had to call and get a refund. Linda in accounting was very kind and gave me a refund right away. If I had been allowed to pay a deposit and pay the balance on delivery, this would have been much easier for me. Margaret is dishonest and tricky. She had my entire home measured, lowered the price by telling the blinds department to hold off on my upstairs without my permission to do this. She figured that once half of my home was done I'd be forced to take her price on the upstairs. She is unbelievable!! I called and reported her to Hunter Douglas. They are now working with me via a different company in the area and they are being completely transparent with me. In addition to this review, I have written to the BBB and Chamber of Commerce. DON'T let these folks fool you with their small town garb. There are better places and better people to deal with.

Horrible experience with his company/owner. Purchased a mattress, box spring and bed frame from this company in 2019 for a second home. We noticed that the mattress was sagging on one side. We contacted the company on several occasions to see if they could come out to take a look at it. After several attempts someone finally came out today and told us that the bed frame was not installed correctly which caused the mattress /box spring to break down. He also informed us that we would receive a new mattress/box spring at the expense of High Country. He further stated that other customers experienced the same issue with beds not being installed properly. Several hours later the owner, Doug, contact us and said that High Country would not cover anything and expected us to repurchase. Buyer beware they do not back their product or workmanship.
