What a terrible experience. My wife and I have bought many properties over the years and we have never had such a frustrating experience as we have with HomeTrust in Waynesville. They ordered optional (more expensive) appraisals after we we clearly declined, charged us, then was late refunding our money which delayed our closing on the loan. The day of the closing, we sat in the lobby for over 45 minutes because the person processing the loan didn't verify that she had everything she needed from underwriting.We told them at the time of scheduling the closing that we would be closing on the property on 10/11, so we would need the money available by that date. They assured us that we would be fine to close with them on 10/10 and have funds available by 10/11. The day of the closing, they tell us that the money would be available until 10/13! We re-scheduled our closing on the property that day. Now, the next day, they are telling us that the money will not be available until 10/16. So, now we have tore-schedule again, assuming the current owners don't back out of the deal due to so many delays.We will be switching our accounts over to another bank asap and we will NEVER bank with HomeTrust again.UPDATE: Here we are on Monday and now they are telling us the money won't be in our account until tomorrow. We closed on our house this morning and now we can't pay the attorneys for the home we just "bought". This is unbelievable...

I love the Waynesville Branch. They are all so nice and professional at the same time. I have watched them with customers and they always treat every with such respect. I used to work in a bank years ago and did everything in the bank except give you a loan-which included teller, posting and proofing-and doing the job of the main bookkeeper in the bank so I know how it is and was to work in a bank. They are all very helpful and courteous too. The Waynesville office is a gem for our county.

If you want to open a business account, you will regret it.Their policy towards non citizens people has changed. They won't be able to cash any checks. Without exceptions.costumer service here is very unprofessional, especially towards Hispanic community.

I think HomeTrust and it’s employees at the Waynesville branch are great. They are courteous and the “take care of business” in,a timely way.

went to open a business account there during the week Approx 4.15 in the afternoon, the teller went to two reps who were talking to each other, the teller came back obviously frustrated and said no one was available because they had appointments scheduled...both of the reps, proceeded to their currently empty officesat least I can thank you for showing me who I shouldn't be dealing with

We have not had a great experience with Hometrust bank at all ! We changed our mailing address to a P.O. Box for security reasons about a year after we opened our account. One year later they sent our duplicate cards to the wrong address ! I went in to my Waynesville branch to inquire why we hadn’t received our new cards and the guy didn’t know about the address change that was suppose to be on record. I went through the process again and ordered both cards to our P.O. Box. Two weeks later I received one card only ! I called the Waynesville branch back and went through the process a third time. At no point did anyone say hey my bad , I’m sorry , nothing. This is not a personable home town bank at all ! Take your business elsewhere we are !!!

Someone named Christina helped me on the phone the other day at the HomeTrust branch in Waynesville, NC. She was on top of everything and helped me so much! She was so knowledgeable and helpful. Wonderful to get help from an employee like that! Great experience.

Everyone was very friendly and very helpful at the branch. They took care of our needs in a timely manner. Very happy with the service we have received so far. We are glad we chose this bank upon our move to Waynesville.
