“So I came here after a disappointing experience at the shop down the road called JD's where they charged me $150 to tell me they were not able to help me unless I agreed for a 3k fuel pump replacement.
I was passing through when my Japanese imported diesel van started stalling on the road and eventually I could not start it and got stuck in this town for two weeks. Tobbin, TNT auto owner initially took my towed van in and did all he could to diagnose the problem, starting from the small things, the sign of a good and honest mechanic . Like, he checked electric connections, battery and engine control unit, and listened to what I had to say, which is not a small deal on its own, as any woman who ever walked into an auto garage would know.
He said if he wasn't able to fix the van he would not charge me! Second sign of a good honest mechanic. But if you want more, keep reading. so after the initial check we agreed upon the problem was with the ECU module, which I already suspected based on all of the mad amount of online research I was doing at that point after a week already being not able to continue driving home. So I found a person who worked on these ECUs in another state and had to ship it there then wait for it to be shipped back. these guys at the shop let me stay in my van parked in their yard! for a few days I stayed then found another place to stay but my van stayed there for about a week (keep in mind I travel/live in it, so it was like living my house parked there ). Guys from the shop gave me a ride to a store and then to the place I stayed in which was like 15 miles away.
After the re-capped Ecu arrived they texted me right away, I came in, they screwed it back in, my van started and I was back on the road. Tobbin and his team showed not only their honesty and professionalism but most importantly the kindness to a stranger and compassion to someone in a difficult situation. Good people, good business, One in a thousand kind.
