Dollar General Whittier offers everyday essentials at affordable prices from right around the corner. It provides everyday low prices on food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, basic apparel, housewares, seasonal items, paper products and more. This location sells alcohol, tobacco, and produce. The store is much nicer since a recent remodel, featuring a larger selection of frozen and refrigerated food and fresh produce. Significant positive changes have been made, with the store now described as clean and almost fully organized. The aisles are completely clear, the shelves are stocked, and you can walk down every aisle with ease. The staff is really friendly, super friendly, and welcoming, always greeting customers with a smile. The store is open when it's supposed to be open. Everyone has been working very hard to get the store back the way it needs to be and it really shows, with amazing and positive changes that assure customers will not be disappointed.
Checked out with Miss Misty, she was beyond friendly and very helpful. Also had long line she managed to check out and get out the store fast. This is the type of turnover I love to see at this location. I no longer dread visiting the dollar general.

Always wonderful. Young & very knowledgable staff. Sweet & beyond the pale in honestly helping the first time visitor or local. They're beautiful, pure & simple.
