The manager here sucks. This is for the Wilmington location off of college road. The contact manager/store manager for this store was rude and unprofessional. I was frustrated due to the lack of customer service i was receiving, I asked for the manager to give me my money back and a copy of my son’s exam so I could take my business elsewhere. After already standing there for 30mins prior, the manager told me I “needed to wait in line with the rest of the people” referring to those with appointments, instead of helping a customer who ALREADY HAD AN APPOINTMENT and wasn’t receiving proper customer service or the product the paid for. He could have taken 10mins to issue my refund and give me my exam paper but instead tried to tell me I had to wait until every person there was done. That is not customer service at all especially when you have an upset customer due to their lack of ability to assist properly. Additionally, I’m not sure if you think people don’t have a job or what, but people don’t have time to come into your store to put in contacts until they get them in. I paid for a product, I now OWN this product, I should be allowed to take it as I please and not be forced to come into the office. I was also told I could come in whenever and have my son try again, so I do come in and I’m told they don’t have anyone to assist, if you are going to force customers to come in at least have the proper staff to do so OR give correct information to customers.

My experience has been great! Its my First time wearing contacts and it took me many visits, probably around 4 visits for the contact class because each time it never worked but 4th time was the charm and i got em in! Shoutout to Ms. Holmes (the instructor) for helping me so much and to the front desk for their patience. I highly recommend going to America’s best off S College Rd.

Come here for 3:15 appointment was here early 2.45 got in early. that was nice but now it's 409 still waiting on to pay the bill waiting for over 50 minutes to pay a bill that should have not even been a bill because we had three free eye exams but my wife pulled out a contact and it wasn't whole so we wanted to get her eyes checked out and they charged us as a medical visit instead of A exam .had seven people working there and only one person knew how to use the cash register just p off

I would leave zero stars if I could.I would not have returned to this location last night if I hadn’t unfornately purchased the 3 year membership in 2021. I dread coming here. I called ahead before stopping by to see if my trial contacts (first time trying daily lenses) per their reccomendation, and they said my trial has still not came in but I can come by anytime to get me fitted for a different brand while I wait. I really need contacts for the holidays and pictures but the rest of the year I year my glasses 90% of the time. Long story short after arrival yesterday evening, I was lied to by the front desk worker that my prescription had expired a day early so I couldn’t not get a trial after just speaking over the phone. I was sent away without trying to schedule me for an future exam and obviously without even a trial lense when was their fault it never came in! I just wanted to pick it up, or the closest contacts they had to my prescription if they didn’t stock mine..I will never return to this location. I went to the one in porters neck this morning and got everything straightened out. I will be returning to that location from now on they were GREAT!

Plan to spend hours waiting to be seen and the dr is virtual. My boyfriend and I walked out because an hour had passed and neither of us had even been called back. The staff looked scary literally. Others were complaining in the waiting room. Just bite the bullet and go to a real eye doctor.

My first pair of glasses did not have the correct prescription. I returned for a recheck exam. You would think I would have received a little preferential treatment during that visit. No, I was there for 1 1/2 hours. The revised glasses seemed ok in the store, but they are not ok. The prescription is still not right and I get a headache and slight nausea when wearing the glasses. No use returning. I will have to go elsewhere.

They are incredibly dishonest and seem to enjoy withholding important information about your order. I needed contacts ASAP so I went into the store to complete my order. Based on what I saw online, it was 3-5 days for shipping and shipping was free. However, when I placed my order in store, that was not the case...which I was not told until a week after ordering when I called in to find out about my order. Apparently it takes 2+ weeks to recieve your order and shipping is $10. Which is not much in the grand scheme but when you're expecting 3-5 days and free shipping, its ridiculous. When I tried calling to have the order cancelled they would put me on hold for several minutes, refuse to refund/cancel the order and won't bother returning my call. And corporate are absolutely useless, after leaving you on hold for 20+ mins they just hang up the call. By far the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Just don't do it.

Just got done with my eye exam and was very pleased with the level of service I received. Both Doctor and staff were friendly, attentive and professional. More importantly, the prescription was done right and I can see! A promotion was offered to give me a discount on future exams and eye wear and will make things even easier next time around. Will be doing business with them again. Highly recommend!

Was in town for a work conference and ripped my only pair of contacts. The staff was wonderful and made sure I was able to have a pair for my conference. They were extremely kind and saved me from days of migraines from not being able to see. Thank you all so much!

I live in Vermont. We were visiting NC when I went here. Absolutely the best place I have ever been for a eye care place. Staff was awesome. Natalie was the best. We need one of these stores near us in Vermont.

Came in on a Saturday and got my exam done. Shortly after I was done the computer system went down. We had a date we had to make and Sam, I'm guessing he was the manager took my info and got me right on my way. If he's not a manager he should be. Very polite and and a great guy. Got a phone call a day later to shore up the deal. Great job all around ?

I received my exams and glasses there. The prices are comparable to other places. The service is also friendly and timely. They also have an eyecare club that only cost $100 for 3 years. It helps with free eye exams and discounts on Eyewear. I've been going to America's Best since 2016. They're great.

The staff is very nice but there are so many issues with this company. They have signs all over that say “free exam with purchase of two pairs of glasses for 79.95” or something close to that. I went in for an exam and a contact lense exam and almost 300 DOLLARS LATER I still don’t have contacts. I ordered them in December of 2022 and was told that the box of right eyes came in but the left hasn’t. Here we are seven months later and I call to see what’s going on, not only have my contacts been there since March with no call but they also tell me that the $139 I paid for contacts only covered one trial pair. ONE! Seven months I’ve been waiting and now I still have no contacts, they were never ordered in the first place, and I paid all that money for nothing. Absolutely furious.
