(Update) I Stayed at this location a few times in the past, it has been steadily getting worst. Bedbugs, roaches, and nasty sheets.

Avoid for your health: renovating for asbestos (as of 11/23/19). I booked a room and arrived to a room that had bugs around the doorway. "Ok, you get what you pay for." However, once I noticed just down the hallway by my room that a section of the building was taped off with a sign "Asbestos," that was it.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, the service is good, and the price is right. Ameristay Inn Wilmington has made some very pleasant beach trips for me. I couldn't be happier.
