My Dog was seen immediately as soon as I came in. Great care and attention from the Staff. The care and respect shown to my Dog and my family was appreciated. They went over all cost beforehand and the Doctor was very supportive. I can see why the place has such a good reputation.

Dr Altieri is very unprofessional. We brought our chihuahua in for repeat x-rays on his foot that he broke a couple weeks ago. She told us he was being a “Tasmanian devil” in the back and wouldn’t let them touch him and asked if they could do a “light” sedation so they could get a good x ray of it. “Light” sedation is an understatement. They brought him back to us afterwards and said that they gave him a pain injection that we did not agree to, as well as a sedation and anti sedation med. He was like deadweight in my hands and barely breathing. The Dr. Altieri came over after they handed him off to give us our paperwork and listened to him again. She said his heart rate was “still a little slow” and it was probably the pain medication (that we never consented to). And she also said she only “gave him a wimpy dose” We could tell she was getting nervous. We were told to wait in the waiting room with him for 10 minutes until he woke back up a little more. He actually seemed to get worse and his breathing was getting slower. The nice receptionist called the Dr. Altieri back and she sent one of her techs to come get him. He went back there and not even 2 minutes later the Dr. Altieri came out and got us and said “everything was fine” and that he was “coming back to normal.” She completely blew off me and my husband and our concerns. After that we just took him home even though we weren’t comfortable doing so. He ended up coming back around about 3 hours later thank god. Needless to say, we will NEVER be back. Dr. Altieri is a heartless person who doesn’t care about her patients and I am very disappointed.

I had an emergency with my cat and came to this location. I was already an emotional wreck but Sofia had the calming energy that made me feel less worried about Leo. He was taken to the back right away and after a few minutes, Lauren came to us with good news that Leo had a urinary tract infection and was nothing life threatening. We waited patiently to speak with the Dr Toombs. The Dr assured us that with the medications, Leo would be fine. Although the tech that came in the room to ask about medication made us a little uncomfortable, the rest of the staff was absolutely amazing. They saved Leo.

Our 11 year old miniature schnauzer, Abby, crossed over the rainbow Bridge this past Xmas eve. It would be impossible to put into words the sorrow we felt. It is only now that we can talk about her. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone at this facility for their help & kindness to get us through this. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! We will be forever grateful for the compassion shown both to her & to us. I would also like to give special recognition to Halo & Wings for their extraordinary cremation service and compassion as well. They are very special.

We moved to Wilmington this past summer and unfortunately lost our family dog and cat within the first 6 months of living here. I never thought about what would happen with my pets after they passed, nor did I have any expectations. This vet center did a great job of helping us say goodbye to our beloved pets, they were kind and accommodating. Furthermore, I cannot say enough kind words about the pet cremation company they use: Halo and Wings. After experiencing the absolute love and care shown by Halo and Wings, I cannot imagine anyone else handling our beloved pets. They were so communicative, loving, kind, and patient. I felt at peace and comforted knowing that my special animals were safe and loved in their care. The thoughtful keepsakes they sent back to us are so sweet and will be held dear by our family. Thank you Halo and Wings for being a bright light during our terrible times, we are so grateful for you and grateful that ECVR uses you for this service.

Our dog critically injured herself last November. We couldnt have asked for more professional, compassionate care for our dog or for us. While our beloved dog crossed the rainbow bridge that night, we will always be grateful for Dr Toombs and the staff on duty the night of Nov 2.

Took my baby girl in today with pyometra and even tho I couldn't afford the estimate you went above and beyond to help me secure her surgery with our primary vet. Because you cared more for Tara than money she's alive and on the mend.1000%recommend them.

I was very nervous about bringing in my pit but everything went perfectly. The staff were very helpful. Our dog got into some oil that could be fatal she was given medication for discomfort. Today she seems better, thank you team.

I took my pup here in an emergency situation where we ended up having to put him down because of clot due to an abdominal mass. I’ve had several ER experiences with my animals in the past and this one, was the “best” experience I have ever had in an awful situation. They acted immediately, no waiting. We were in the lobby for 5 minutes before being called in and waited less than 5 minutes for the diagnosis. Their quick reaction minimized the further trauma of my baby and allowed us to quickly stop his pain. I’ve waited hours in similar situations and was grateful that they recognized the urgency and treated us with great empathy and compassion.

I really can't say enough nice things about the folks at Animal Emergency Trauma Hospital. Caring, Kind, Concerned, knowledgeable, the place is a buffet of good from top to bottom. We had to take our cat there for an ultrasound. Quick and easy and the prices are reasonable as well. Check out their webpage or their link on Google Maps for a listing of all there services. People come from all over the state of NC and SC.

Scarzella has one of the most nastiest attitudes I ever seen, very disrespectful, giving me slick sarcastic answers and she has a temper. She showed 0 zero sympathy whatsoever and could care less about helping my dog. She put no effort at all to help. They left my poor dog to pass and weren’t interested in keeping him alive. Not to mention the guy with the glasses brown hair that kept shoving a iPad in my face about money every few minutes so from the looks of it they wouldn’t do anything on my dog until they got paid first because all they care about is money filling up their pockets first with the overpriced services, they don’t care about helping your dog or any other pets. Paying all of that money for nothing. If you want your pet to get the best outcome I’d avoid this place if I had known what I know now I would have never come here in the first place what a horrible experience here. I regret walking into this place.

I really wish I had looked at these reviews before bringing my dog here. If you care about your pet, and your wallet, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They will run every test they possibly can milking you for thousands of dollars. They also have no care to be courteous to you or your dog. Scum of the earth, shady people looking for nothing but your money. They will make the issue worse, or at least exaggerate it to play on your feelings. My dog also came back with a bloody, scratched up nose from being unattended. It's mind blowing this place hasn't been shut down yet. AVOID FOR YOUR DOGS SAKE IF NOT YOUR OWN
