Fantastic Service from B Avis at ILMI recently rented a car from Avis at the Wilmington International Airport (ILM), and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish.Upon arrival at the airport, I was promptly greeted by friendly and professional staff at the Avis rental counter. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was quickly on my way to the lot to pick up my vehicle.I was impressed by the wide selection of cars available, all of which were clean, well-maintained, and in excellent condition. The representative helped me choose the perfect car for my needs and provided thorough explanations of the rental agreement and any additional options available.The entire rental process was seamless, and returning the car was just as easy. The staff was courteous and expedient, and I was on my way in no time.Overall, I highly recommend Avis at ILM for anyone in need of a reliable and hassle-free car rental experience. Fast service, friendly staff and you don't have to have a credit card to rent a car. One time I rented a car it still had things under the seat but it was a nice ride.

The first vehicle we got was filthy on the inside and smelled terrible. Like someone had it for a long trip, smoked in it and attempted, poorly, to cover it up. We ended up going back and trading up to another vehicle because of it. Unfortunately, choices were very limited at the time so I ended up with a vehicle I didn’t really want but, was not left much of a choice.

Terrible experience, car started overheating on day 2 of the rental leaving me stranded in a rural area. Roadside assistance did not send assistance, asked me to drive the car to the airport to exchange and stop along the way to cool the car off when it overheated. When I got to the airport they did not know anything about the exchange roadside assistance had supposedly arranged. The car was subpar, service was terrible, an overall bad experience.

The manager at Wilmington ILM Airport is unhelpful. I had never rented a car, and when there was an issue, due to me being under 25, he was extremely unhelpful in giving me the answers that I needed and just stared at me until I went to go problem solve myself. Extremely embarrassing for this company. Wouldn't even stand up to come help me, just sat down looking at me after I had expressed that I did not know what to do. I didn't know your employees only got paid to stare at very flustered and confused young adults trying to get a rental car after a car accident. Not a great look and probably never going to get better if you keep hiring egotistical dingdongs who make women frustrated enough to tears.

The lady at the front desk was so rude and unfriendly. She ran a soft credit check on me without asking or telling me and then denied me. I know my credit is Good so it probably was my “race” that didn’t check out.

One Star Is One Star Too Many! I made a reservation and paid. Arrived at the airport only to be told that no cars were available. This was after traveling for 1 hour and more than 50 miles from my home to the airport to pickup the vehicle. There were 3 staff members working, one of whom was wearing shade and looked drunk. I wonder whether if this location were properly managed, it might have been possible for one of these 3 individuals to have picked up the phone and called me at the number provided with the reservation confirmation to inform me of their lack of vehicles rather than wasting my time, my gas money, and my motivation for this trip. USE ANY OTHER COMPANY

I returned my rental vehicle on the expected return date. However, 3 days later I received a text message from Avis stating that my rental car return was 3 days late. I spent 20 minutes on the phone waiting to speak to a customer service representative who confirmed that their system was showing that the car had not been returned yet, but she was also confirmed that the vehicle was actually in their rental parking lot. She could not offer an explanation as to why upon returning the vehicle, the counter representative did not check the car into their system as returned. I have an upcoming reservation in a few weeks. I’m hesitant to keep it based on the incompetency of this rental location.
