Charming, well maintained building, very clean, friendly staff and above and beyond service. I left my favorite jacket behind and they very kindly and quickly located it and were able to ship it back to me across the country. Above and beyond, very appreciated. I spoke to 2 different employees, didn't get names but I spoke to a man 09/21 around 9pm and a woman 09/22 around 11am. Thanks both of you :)

Awesome spot right on the river. Walkable to food and shops! They allow dogs so that's great!I will say the shower was lame! And if it weren't for the waffles the breakfast buffet would be a complete flop. But will 100% stay here again

I stayed here month's ago, The staff was friendly nice breakfast and I loved the location however the owner needs to invest more into the up keep of the place to help them. My family room was finehowever the room I stayed in had a bug problem I understand that it's down by the water however a guest shouldn't see a wasp nest on the side of window, fly in the toilet (arrival) dead caterpillar by desk area (arrival). I chose not to eat in the room.Walkability: The Riverwalk was nice.

Stayed for a night. Receptionist was great over the phone and answered some of my questions. I could have reserved over the phone but didn't as I was still deciding where I was going to stay. When I got there, the room I wanted was gone! The receptionist, Antranese, was so nice. She was able to reduce the price, not only down to the more economic room but more than that. Thank you so much. The room as clean, spacious enough and with an amazing view! The breakfast has a bit of everything. Simple but enough for my one night stay. There's also a gym.The walk along the hotel is just lovely. Would stay there again.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. If you can, request a room on the side of the hotel overlooking the river, it's a nice view. Plus, right outside the gate on the water side is a nice riverwalk and pier. The hotel even has a cat that calls it home, you can see her sitting in the lobby right in front of the door in my photos attached to this review. I definitely recommend this hotel and the staff was very friendly and welcoming! If you're a fan of Dawson's Creek (the old TV show from the 90's) you'll recognize several of the nearby buildings as belonging to the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts. If you're so inclined, most are an easy walk away from the hotel. Do a Google Search for a list of filming locations to make finding them easier.

Couldn’t ask for much more from a hotel. Reasonable rates, clean room, great service, a beautiful view, and a good breakfast make this best western an excellent choice. We came to town for a concert at Live Oak Pavilion and being able to easily walk a flat 1/2 mile down the river walk to and from the venue was amazing. My only ding was that there was a dead bug on the floor of our room. I didn’t see any more and didn’t think it was that big of a deal for a first floor room right by the water.

I love this hotel. It was clean and comfortable and they accept our little dogs as welcomed guests. The hotel is a little older but that doesn't matter as long as it's clean. The front desk and cleaning ladies were all very nice and helpful. We had no issues. If I had to change anything about this place it would be to add a pool and balconies to enjoy the beautiful view overlooking the river. Gorgeous views.

My wife and I thought that the hotel was very nicely laid out and charming it's proximity to the waterfront made this an amazing stay. With the helpful friendly staff and reasonable pricing this place is an unbelievable diamond in the rough in the middle of Wilmington.

We have stayed at the Best Western Plus Coastline Inn before but it has been several years since our last stay. We enjoyed the location - close to downtown, on the riverfront with easy walking to nearby shops and restaurants. A lot has changed since the last visit. This hotel is showing its age:1. Peeling paint in the bathroom.2. The DOWN button to call for the elevator on the 3rd floor does NOT work - you have to press the UP button to summon the elevator. We reported this but no one fixed it.3. The private dock that can be accessed from the 2nd floor is moldy and rotting so it is blocked off from guests for safety reasons. That is all well and good but this was one of our favorite things about this hotel from previous stays.4. Instead of doing maintenance about the above items, there was loud fat woman and her crew who scarfed down lots of food at breakfast that were replacing the working 38 inch t.v.s with new 55 inch t.v.s. 55 inches is just about too big for those rooms which are not very big to begin with. With a new Embassy Suites and a new Aloft hotel right beside this one, they had better watch out. Folks will be staying there – us included – instead of at the Best Western Plus Coastline.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, which is very important. The downside is that there are repairs/upgrades that need to be made. Lots of dents & scuffs on walls & doors that should be either fixed or upgraded.

We love this little, old hotel. You can't beat the location....such beautiful river views. The landscaping is so nice, it's dog friendly (even has a tiny, fenced in dog park), the staff are very nice and the breakfast is excellent. Yes, it's an older hotel....yes, there is probably some small areas of peeling paint, yes, you might see some little spots of rust somewhere (you are on the coast, after all)... but it's always clean, rooms are a nice size, the toiletries smell so good (citrus) and the amenities (hot breakfast with lots of options, in room coffee, mini fridge & microwave) are great. We've stayed several times!

My two daughters and myself stayed here for a weekend getaway and absolutely enjoyed it. We had a room with 2 double beds with a riverfront view that was perfect. The downtown Wilmington Riverwalk runs right in front of the hotel with several piers to relax on. Beautiful sunsets and a direct view of the USS North Carolina Battleship. Breakfast is included with hot and cold items. Kid friendly items too like cereals, fruit, bagels, and make your own waffles. My check in/check out agent was a wonderful woman with blonde hair. She was friendly, patient and informative. My daughters adored her! Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the AC worked like a charm. My only complaint was that the shower pressure was low unless you had it on very hot. Which was a bit frustrating trying to wash all the sand off from the beach. Also parking was a bit dark and tight, which is out of their control and goes with the territory of historic downtown areas. It's about a 15-20 min drive to the beach access on Lumina Ave completely dependent on traffic. (Go early in the morning) We'll definitely stay here again this summer because you get the best of both worlds...a short drive to the beach and the fact that this serves as a quiet escape from the chaos. Highly recommend.Walkability: Sits right along the Downtown Wilmington Riverwalk
