Multiple terrible experiences with several cars, and they managed the significant achievement of making me NOT a Ford guy. So bad even my employer moved their business to the Burgaw Dealership.

The absolute worst car dealership I've ever been in my life. They screwed me over on three of my vehicles. I brought one back that I just bought that had a defect of safety item and they would not fix it and told me it was not under warranty, dishonest, I'm a minister and disabled, they're amazing they can look you straight in the eye, and life doesn't cost him a dime. It was a five dollar part never buy another vehicle from them again.

This place sold us a lemon. We bought an F-150 4x4 with 19,000 miles in October if 2019 and have had nothing but problems. Total repair charges so far are around 14,500. The truck is currently back in the shop again and we don't know how much the bill is going to be this time. We broke down on our way to Georgia this time. We had the truck a little over 3 1/2 years and during that time we have had to replace the transmission, cylinoids, a lifter. The truck is now back in the shop in Georgia after breaking down. This time it needs a catalytic converter and has transmission issues again. The break down happened a few weeks ago and the service department is just now getting to it. We have also spent thousands in rental cars because Ford never has a loaner. This will be our 3rd week in the rental car, this time , and the bill is already past 900.00. We're looking at at least another week in the rental totaling another 300 plus dollars. We have taken care of this truck and had it serviced. The only explanation for all of the problems is that we were sold a LEMON! We've complained, in the past and recently, to Capital Ford and asked for a replacement, but so far all of our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. We had a Toyota Tundra, but decided to support American companies when we bought the Ford in 2019. No good deed goes unpunished.

Capital Ford Lincoln of Wilmington, NC: A Cautionary Tale of Unfulfilled Promises and UnprofessionalismIntroduction:For anyone in Wilmington, NC, considering services from Capital Ford, I urge caution. My recent experience (1/12/2024), alongside a friend recovering from surgery, was a stark display of dishonesty and predatory behavior. This detailed review serves as a critical warning and an eye-opening account of trust exploited by sheer greed. The Start of a Disheartening Journey:Our simple quest for an oil change and minor repairs quickly devolved into a nightmare. Presented with an inflated $8,000 repair estimate, my friend wisely chose only essential services: an oil change, securing the rear bumper, and resolving the engine light issue. However, even these tasks proved too challenging for Capital Ford.Red Flags and Mismanagement:Initial signs of trouble were evident from the get-go. Wrong contact information on the paperwork was just the start. But it was the assistant service manager's overt hostility towards our decision to forego unnecessary repairs that set the stage for what was to come. The Smoke and Mirrors Deception:Upon payment, the assistant service manager's elaborate explanations and technical jargon could not mask the glaring oversight of an unsecured hood. The so-called 'fixed' engine light still shone brightly, mocking our trust. Even after a second visit into the office to address these issues, the charade continued.Uncovering the Truth:A personal inspection revealed the disturbing reality. The oil was unchanged, evidenced by its jet-black color and a grimy, untouched filter. This revelation, when brought to the assistant service manager, was met with a childish tantrum and a begrudging refund, alongside a spiteful directive to never return.Beyond Financial Loss: A Breach of Ethical Conduct:This episode wasn't merely about the $800 paid. It was an alarming showcase of exploitation, taking advantage of a customer's trust and ignorance. The potential risks for those less savvy about automotive matters are deeply concerning. Trusting such a dealership with fleet vehicles or significant repairs could lead to dire consequences.A Call to Action for Vigilance:I implore all current and future customers of Capital Ford to rigorously check the work claimed against what is actually done. Do not fall prey to their deceitful practices. Share this experience, inform others, and let your vehicle's condition be the judge of Capital Ford's supposed 'professionalism.'Conclusion:While the refund may have addressed our immediate grievance, it does not erase the unethical practices and unprofessional behavior we witnessed. Remember, informed vigilance is your best defense. Verify everything and consider other more reliable service providers for the sake of your vehicle's health and your peace of mind.

A while back I received a letter that there was a recall on my car and the issue they described exactly matched the issue i was having with it. I brought my car to capital ford and left scammed out of 200 dollars with my car still broken. They claimed I didn't have a recall and that it was some sort of warranty and that I would now have to pay them 200 dollars for diagnosing that there was "nothing wrong with it". Simply disappointing. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

If you want a Ford, just buy it somewhere else. I bought a brand, new Ford Bronco a few months ago, and was told it was time for my complementary oil change and multi point inspection. After several reschedules, they finally booked me an appointment for over a month later. I just walked in and they said it was going to be $150. I told them it was my first complementary visit, and they said that doesn't exist. The service department was rude to me. They'll sell you the car, but they won't take care of you after that, very disappointed.

I'm not sure how my review changed 3 years ago, but trust and believe I didn't give a good review at that time. I'd put my back seat down for storage and a FLAW IN THE FORD FUSION design locked it down and I took it TO CAPITAL FORD OF WILMINGTON and begged them to release it for me. I was told too bad, my car was passed warranty and ended up having to CUT MY SEATBELT to release my seat and open it. This company sucks and the GM made a half tailed plea to me to bring it back and they'd release it. Too late. Too little. I do NOT recommend this dealership and will never go back willingly.

I was in Wilmington visiting family, and had a problem with my Lincoln MKX on June 1, 2021. I called and was referred to A.D. Martinez, who quickly arranged for my vehicle to be assessed. The vehicle issued was addressed, and, I had the Lincoln back by 5 pm. I am so grateful for the stellar service rendered by this dealership. I found everyone that I came into contact with extremely helpful. I also want to thank "G" for his kindness..... This dealership went above and beyond to help me!
