Right by the Riverwalk! Nice!

Location was the best thing about our stay. Desk staff was not friendly, helpful, nor informative upon check-in, and the room, though very nice, had debris on the carpet from a prior occupant and other signs that it had not been thoroughly cleaned.
I would not recommend it.

Only stayed here once, for one night, but will be back! Great location, nice rooms, awesome rooftop bar/restaurant. Just a cool vibe! Did self parking in the garage next door with no issues.

I had a very mixed experience with this hotel. Had it not been for the Parking Valet attendant Dominick I would probably be rating this hotel a 1 or 2.
The check in clerk was not very welcoming or friendly. He acted as if he was too busy to talk to us even though there was no one else in the entire lobby. The next morning we left our room key cards behind in the room since we used Hilton's mobile self checkout only to discover we needed the key card to get out of the parking garage.
I tried to call the front desk but was on hold for about 10 minutes. Part way through the call my wife walked back over to the front desk where she got a replacement key card and got back while I'm still on hold sitting in my car. The key card didn't work either. The front desk person finally picked up the phone and sent the Valet attendant Dominick to rescue us. Her reaction to my predicament was to immediately blame me for not checking out at the front desk.
Dominick, the Valet attendant was fantastic. He welcomed us at the front door and directed us inside. When we came back out he noticed I was driving an EV and told us where to get a charge in the parking garage. And as I said he came running over to let us out of the garage when we trapped ourselves.
Overall the hotel has nice size suite style rooms and was clean. The location is great for concerts at Wilson Center or the amphitheater and not too far from most downtown dining options. The included breakfast was very basic and the staff completely ignored us there too.

Our room was great, clean and new. Entry to hotel is beautiful. No line at check in. We were given these drink coupons upon arrival. My wife was told you can redeem your drink coupon at the downstairs bar. I wanted to go to the rooftop bar and we were told we could take our drinks with us up there. As my wife walked out to the rooftop bar an incredibly rude employee “Justin” stopped her and told her you can’t bring your drink out here. She ignored him and we were seated and our very polite server told us you are allowed to have brought your drink with you to the rooftop bar. I ordered another drink and we enjoyed the view. We decided we were going to go back to our room. My wife brought her original drink with her as we left. The same rude employee “Justin” stopped her again and demanded she hand the drink over. He now said you can’t take your drink with you and he physically confiscated from her. I found Chris the manager upstairs and explained the situation and he apologized and agreed you can bring the drink up there and the rude employee was wrong. I thought I’m going to find the hotel manager and tell him about my situation. I went to the front desk where I basically was told no one will talk with me about a complaint. I was given the Gm’s card and told to email him. Unfortunately this was my wife and I’s anniversary and this is the only memory I have of this wonderful day that I spent $389 a night plus parking for.

This hotel was lovely. The rooms were large and clean. The shower pressure was excellent. The lobby was pretty and the valet people were polite.

Stayed here for a couple of night for work as I was in town for a conference. Check in was decent, the lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. My only frustration (which I seem to say about every Hilton review I give) is that they don’t do well allowing check-ins earlier than 2PM – 4PM. I know full well what time check-in is, but Hilton needs to get with the program with business travelers… We need to check-in when we arrive. We often have the day planned and need to get the check-in out of the way so proceed with our day. I very rarely have this problem at Marriott properties and each time I say this, someone from Hilton replies telling me what time check in is. I get it, but that doesn't make it right and it’s the reason I’m primarily a Bonvoy member and will be until Hilton fixes this.
OK – Enough of that.
The room was ok. It was a large king bed room with a living room when you walk in and a separate bedroom in the back. Housekeeping could have been better. There were stains on the chair next to the sofa that were nasty and quite obvious. The toilet and sink area were not cleaned during room refresh.
Regarding comfort, the bed was nice. The TV channels were decent, but the streaming video selection was excellent. Bathroom was in definite need of being upgraded, with stains visible around the floor tile and tub basin.
Common areas in the hotel were quite nice and large too, especially for when a larger conference is in town. The selection in their daily breakfast was quite impressive, as it included a person grilling up eggs, as well as many other buffet type breakfast items. And the daily social hour is a nice touch too.
Would I stay here again if needing to attend the local convention center? Probably not, there’s a Marriott property right next door I’d select next time.

Loved the fact that the location was right on the Riverwalk, I didn't love the fact that I had to pay for parking. Breakfast was a plus though and the room was great!! Would definitely book here again.

Hotel was clean and rooms were comfy. One thing to know is the bathrooms have the sliding barn door on the bedroom side, so if this is an issue for you, you may want to book elsewhere. Breakfast was a bit lackluster compared to other Embassy Suites, but it could have been an off day!

First time at this location and I would definitely return.
One minor downside I’ve found with the Hilton brand in general is the TV setup—there are no number buttons on the remote, so you can’t jump directly to a channel, which can be a bit frustrating.
Now for the good:
The location is excellent—within walking distance to downtown restaurants and the Riverwalk area. The rooftop bar offers great views and decent food, making it a nice spot to unwind. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The room was spacious and cozy, with a river view, a microwave, mini fridge, wet bar, and sink—all great conveniences. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and there was a good workspace as well.
The only other minor issue was the thermostat—it was a bit tricky to operate, and the display text was small.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and well worth it.

Great hotel for our family of 4 with 2 small kids. Suite layout is great for everyone to have their own space. Lobby and amenities are nice. Evening reception and hot breakfast were great perks. Views of the river are spectacular and plenty of parking in the attached parking garage. Walkable to almost anything downtown. Our go to hotel when visiting Wilmington!

Nice location on the waterfront, a little far to the other end from the shopping. The valet was understaffed and took >30 mins each time to get our car. There are alot of people, so many that we elected to not wait 15 mins for an elevator and walked to the 7th floor. Twice.

Very disappointed! Asked for a river view which didn’t happen. While my husband was at the front desk (I was still in the room with our belongs), another couple entered this room, surprise! We were able to get our river view room. Dinner was a 40 minute wait (only two tables were occupied). Saturday morning asked for a 1:00 checkout, visited the Cotton Exchange, returned to our room around 10:30 and discovered the cleaning team finishing cleaning our room. Members for over 35 yrs, never experienced this, hope no one does.
