Multiple stays at this location and love the service from front desk employees, always extremely nice and helpful. But on the other hand your Valet service felt like I was handing my car over to thug. Sweat hoodie pulled over head and face and no personality at all. Treated me as if I was bothering him?? Next time I'll probably park myself and save the $26.

You get what you pay for.No welcome at check in. The girl who checked me in was extremely unwelcoming and rude, even with her manager standing right behind her. “Credit card and ID” was all she said as I approached her. Is that how you welcome a hotel guest? Totally inappropriate.Rooms are dirty as can be. No housekeeping unless you request it? Are we still living in the nonsense Covid days? They surely are.Other than convenient location, this hotel has nothing worth your money.

I booked this hotel in March with a 25% off and prepaid for the room. At the end of our stay, was charged more to equal the original cost of room. I was pretty sure prepaid was my final amount. Agree with another review, two weeks later the hotel staff and district manager has not corrected. Wrote up my bill as advance deposit. That isn't even an option here. They need to read their website and clarify what they think a prepaid, nonrefundable room charge is. We would expect incidentals had we incurred any, but we did not. Staff was friendly, still trash in hallways, spent 5 nights and never cleaned our room or replenished supplies. We didn't use valet service but definitely those young men were exceptional. Friendly and helpful. Location was definitely 5 star. For the same price we ended up paying, we could have had better quality at the Hampton and a free breakfast. Guess the discount and prepaid were definitely misleading. I have been hoping someone other than hotel manager would investigate, but seems even the district manager for this hotel can't be bothered. I end up speaking to the same person I've been dealing with for 2 weeks with same results and attitude. I definitely won't revisit this particular Courtyard.

Room was gross, shower was not clean, all the hotel had a off smell to it. Besides that I just got home from a few days there (work travel) and have bed bug bites all over my torso and arms.Recommend to avoid this hotel. Upkeep seems to be lacking massively for the rooms and fitness facilities. Found another guests hair in my bathroom towel.

I did not enjoy my stay here. Despite the staff being very nice, the room itself was not up to par with the price I paid. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom, mildew smells, peeling wallpaper and broken dispensers with the wrong toiletries (no body wash)! For $300/night, I would have expected a lot more!I exclusively stay at Marriott branded hotels, and was very disappointed with this one and would not recommend for the price. My stay was unpleasant and my sleep uncomfortable. For some reason, they aren’t allowing me to post the pictures I took.

This hotel was not up to the name Marriott. The bathroom had mildew all around it. There was dust everywhere, tiles falling off and lamps, outlets broken. The place didn’t even have a courtesy dispenser of water for guests in the lobby. No frills hotel. Bed was comfy but that’s the only part that was like a Marriott. Don’t go to this hotel

Stayed here for a long weekend in downtown Wilmington. Perfect location, friendly staff, very clean well maintained facility. The hotel is obviously a reflection of good management. The room was perfect and made our stay even more enjoyable . Parking deck is across the street and very convenient. Courtyard Marriott is my "go to" hotel and have never been disappointed. We will be back ,,,, highly recommended.

Absolutely disgusting hotel. Staff doesn’t care and did nothing to fix the issues. Bathroom is full of mold and broken tiles. There is a light fixture with water damage and the toilet LEAKED. Was offered nothing as compensation after spending $440 for two nights. The valet charges $24 for a garage across the street that costs $10 for 24 hrs. Cleaning only comes every 3 days like we are in Covid still. What is the point of a hotel with cleaning only every 3 days?Rooms: Horrible condition. And cleaning staff only comes every 3 days like we are in Covid still. It’s not a convenience, it’s a cost savings passed onto the consumer. And it’s a joke.

Unequivocally the filthiest hotel I’ve ever slept in. I write this as I sit in the mold infested room with some stranger’s hair in the bed. Unfortunately with there being an event this weekend no other hotels were available for us to leave. I seldom leave reviews but I feel compelled to do so hoping to save someone else from experiencing this place. I’m strongly considering ending the trip early and heading home after our first night in this absolutely disgusting hotel.Stay far away from this place. I’m astonished that it’s still operating and Marriott should be ashamed. Paid almost $600 for two nights in this run down hotel.

Boy, what a dump! The problems that I have with this hotel will not be solved by new management. So please don’t think if you’re seeing this review far into the future “well it can’t still be that bad.” The entire hotel has a funk about it. I thought the mildew smell in our room came from being by the pool/gym facilities. However, it smells like mildew on every floor, i checked. Now the courtyard by Marriott markets itself as catering to the traveling businessperson. So why then, when I call to inquire about the upgraded, secure wifi on the advertisement that THEY gave me, do they tell me no such network exists? The concierge said “I don’t know why it’s on there” about the paper that she handed me the evening prior. Also no continental breakfast. Now about the room quality. Imagine a small fridge. The entirety of the fridge that they provide could fit into the fridge you’re imagining. It only runs on timer so if you don’t hit a button on the inside every two hours, your food goes back to room temp. P.S. for our entire stay, there was no AC in the lobby. In the middle of summer. In a building already plagued with mildew. May god have mercy on the soul of this hotel. Closer to a motel honestly. Stay elsewhere.

Extremely disappointed in my stay here. Would not recommend. Booked a king size room. Ended up with a double queen for a single person. That wasn’t so terrible, except when I arrived the lobby was absolutely sweltering, it was so hot! Took some time for valet, I just left my car sitting for a while because of all of the confusion going on. My room just felt dirty and smelled like old cigarettes. The pillows were small and uncomfortable, the bed just wasn’t the soft comfortable feel I was looking for after traveling for hours. Especially not for over $200 per night. I spoke with someone at the front desk the next morning, who was pleasant and apologized for my experience the night before. They assured me, things would be handled when the manager arrived later. After receiving compensation I was then charged again. I spoke with who I assume was the manager, and that person continued to try to talk over me. I finally had to ask her to let me finish what I had to say. I did not want to write a review like this. Unfortunately, just sharing my real experiences.

For a Marriott brand hotel this is not what you expect. The rooms are gross. Clearly, the house keeping/maintenance manager is not doing quality control checks. Mold in bathrooms, furniture not in good condition. After speaking to others, their room had the same condition. The air conditioning in the lobby has apparently been out for a month. It’s very uncomfortable to be down there for even a short period of time. They should have portable air conditioning units in there for guest AND employees. Air conditioning was also an issue in the gym. It’s downtown, I was assigned by my company so it wasn’t my choice. My room faced an alley. It was loud. The first few days the pool was cloudy, when I left it was clear but clearing pool maintenance is not regular if they allowed it to get cloudy. The desk staff is helpful and attentive.Rooms: Not clean.

I checked into the hotel on Friday afternoon (07-07-23). The first thing I noticed upon entering the hotel lobby was how hot and stagnate the lobby felt. It must have been 80 degrees in the lobby. It literally felt like the air was not working and definitely not on. This is very out of character for a Marriott property, as I am a Platinum Elite member and frequently stay at Marriott properties for work. When I got to my room the thermostat read 77 degrees. I turned the thermostat down to 70 (It was on 72) and left the room for the day. Upon returning to the room I noticed that the room felt very warm and the thermostat read 78 degrees, and this was after 5 hours of running. I called the front desk and the lady working was very kind and helpful and switched my room for me, which I am grateful for. Upon checking out the next day, it took me 32 minutes to get my vehicle from the valet parking attendant. There were some guests who were in line before me that told me their wait was over 40 minutes. There was only one parking attendant working and there must have been 10-12 people trying to get their vehicle at the same time. I will say that the majority of the hotel staff were kind and professional, but this property is in serious need of some work. They clearly have not hired enough staff for the Valet service, which is expensive at $24 per day. Likewise, the HVAC issues that I noted are in serious need of repair. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property for future stays.Nearby activities: The hotel is in a great location for downtown restaurants and shops.
