we had a great tour, but afterwards, we submitted our applications via their website, and it was very non-user – friendly. Were also told that we would get a response today and did not.hopefully tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

The leasing and maintenance staff have been stellar and outstanding during my stay as a resident here. The new leasing office manager and her crew are continuously making vast incredible improvements to this well loved apartment complex. This new leadership and improvements to the grounds has increased the daily quality of life here. The new maintenance supervisor and his team are a great presence. Anytime a maintenance item arises they are on top of it and bring great positive professional service. It’s impressive the on going work they have done to make this complex and better place. Thank you all for your hard work and accomplishing these goals for making an older complex refreshing and new. Cheers.

I’ve been waiting to write this review since my first few days living at Cypress Pointe. I lived there for 2 years.Firstly, it’s gross and outdated. Rented sight unseen as my mom helped with the process and I have dog breeds that are difficult to get into other complexes. Felt like the only option so I went with it.Parking is a huge issue. It’s bad enough that there’s not enough parking spots for actual residents, but frequently people who don’t live there will park in resident spots unscathed. I’ve seen guests park in handicapped spots and the supposed tow truck service has done nothing in 2 years.Secondly, the pool was open for maybe 20% of the 2 years I lived here. It was constantly being closed and somehow still is the only area of the entire complex that looks updated. The apartments in the building behind us were vacant, because prices rose but renovations and upgrades didn’t happen. I felt like I was living in a time capsule. Dark, disgusting apartments, full of bugs and mold. They put us in the wrong unit at first claiming the one we applied for and were accepted for was not yet ready. It wasn’t even the same style of unit. A few weeks later upon getting into the correct unit, the walls were just painted over, roaches every where, mismatched light fixtures, door knobs, etc. The lights were all a different shade. Floor and walls all scuffed up.The AC unit was older than I am, and I’m 28. It could not keep up with the outside temperatures, so if we wanted to keep cool we had to keep it near 60 and use black out curtains 24/7, making the environment even more depressing. If you want a $200+ power bill year round in a tiny apartment because of dated appliances, be my guest. The stove burners were lopsided so you couldn’t cook anything evenly, and the kitchen is a tiny closed off spaces so if you do cook anything in even olive oil, your entire apartment will fill with smoke. You have to cook with the doors open, fan spinning and exhaust fan running. If you have dogs, you will be harassed by both neighbors and management. Other people will leave dog p*** around and you will be threatened with lease infractions even if your dogs were not responsible. We had one of the leasing office employees walk into our apartment unannounced and then got written up for my dogs barking. Were they just supposed to sit quietly with a stranger in their home? I’m just glad I had them restrained in my room while at work. The lady beside me claimed my dogs got off leash and attacked her dog, got animal control and leasing office involved. This never happened. She illegally leaves her rodent of a dog out on her porch 16 hours a day while it barks non-stop. This same lady left a note on our door claiming my dogs were not allowed to pee in the common areas around our apartments lol. The complex won’t do anything about it, unless it’s my dogs doing something lol. If you walk by another apartment, dogs bark incessantly. My ceiling in my bathroom leaked for 2 weeks and they did nothing to repair it until it completely collapsed. The people above us had a major water issue. Both bathroom ceilings collapsed, one as we were preparing to move out. There was a leak in the ceiling of the laundry room. There is mold where it leaked in the laundry room as well on the floor. I’m severely asthmatic so I just couldn’t even breathe in this apartment I lived in for 2 years. Windows would not stay open either so I couldn’t leave those open to help either. The apartments around us smoked a ton of weed and you could smell the marijuana in our apartment because of it. It traveled through shared vents. By far the most disgusting living environment I’ve ever been in.Our rent kept increasing significantly. It went up $200-$300 after going month to month, then signing an extended 12 month lease after deciding it was just easier to stay here.

I’ve lived here for a little over a week and so far have had a wonderful experience. On top of just being a generally nice place to live, the staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. I immediately knew I liked them when I noticed they made a conscious effort to remember my name, which is a small thing but to me it shows they care. In my time living here so far I’ve filed a couple maintenance requests and they have been handled well above expectations. Yesterday I filed a request about my bathroom sink not getting hot water. I was told it would be a few days before it could be checked out, but to my surprise it was dealt with today! Not only did the temperature issue get fixed, but my water pressure is better now too. If I’ve learned one thing being here, it’s that you are going to be treated extremely well as a resident, and I think that’s one of the most important things to look for in an apartment complex.

I did not have the best credit when I started to look for a place to call home in Wilmington from Philadelphia Pa. Hard to look for a home 600 miles away. Monique Washington answered all my prayers and gave me a sigh of relief. Due to Monique’s diligence and hard work I found my home. Monique answered all of my questions, took me on a FaceTime tour of the property and the model apartment I’d be living in. If I had questions and left a vm or text or email she replied very quickly. Monique took the time to to walk me through the process step by step. Monique is a model of the upmost renting agent. To be that you need to beam with positivity , to go up and beyond the regular job duties. I could tell from the moment I first talked to Monique and we spoke she was smiling through the phone. It is VERY hard to find someone with all these puzzle pieces in 1 person but Cypress Point did in hiring My Miquelon Washington.

I have lived here for a little over 2 years now and haven't had a single problem living here. Being so close to the college and an area where a lot of college kids rent from and the houses on the road behind us I thought it would get loud, but it's been really quite in the evenings. The staff here is very friendly. For being in a area that is 15 mins to Wrightsville and 10 mins to Mayfair plus other shopping areas around you cant beat the rent.

If you're looking to overpay for a crappy, outdated apartment, this is the place for you! It comes with free pet roaches you get to find daily around your apartment, outdated utilities that may or may not work, and you may not even get an in unit laundry which is so great because you get to go all the way to front office and pay to use their washers and dryers that are broken or full half of the time! Need maintenance at your apartment here? Too bad! Maintenance is full of genuinely nice people, too bad they don't know how to perform maintenance. Have a broken window? You can have yours "fixed" so you won't be able to open it, but it will still let heat/AC flow out and in so you can pay even more for the electric! This place is full of complicated move in requirements and hidden fees that the front office loves to inform you about after the fact:) So if you're looking for somewhere to f*ck you out of your money for nothing in return, look no further - Cypress is the place for you!
