I own my vehicle more than 10yrs. I admit I am terrible at timely fill-ups and have gone to the point of Zero miles left before pulling up to a pump for gas. I also usually wait for the 'gas light' to come on which is '30 miles' on what I call the idiot light. The absolute most I've ever pumped in over 10yrs is 14.2 gal and I had actually driven past the Zero another 27 miles....yes I was terrified but luckily I knew John Stossel had done a report that said most vehicles can actually go up to 50 miles past zero. Anyway, I've never done the 14.2 again and freely admit to many 13.9, 13.8 etc. I called Murphy customer care to advise them that this particular pump may have a problem. I clarified immediately that I was not asking nor expecting any refund but believe this pump needed a check. I was basically told the pumps are checked, there is no problem and that my vehicle actually holds more than that quantity. We all know that vehicles are now designed to have the gas alert come on well before the real empty and typically when 2 gal are left. Based on my experience with my 10yr history that seems accurate. So, if I still had about a gal to go before the light came on that should've meant I would pump about 13.4 gal, NOT 14.9. If you are getting gas at a Murphy I would suggest being very cognizant of what you expect to pump. Maybe the pumps are even set to over register for Walmart + to compensate for the discount? A thought that just occurred to me. Bottom line was customer care basically blew me off and yet I know I couldn't have fit the 14.9 gal.

Employee (Dustin) had a mental breakdown this morning...Wed Oct 5th 2023. He had a malfunctioning pump and decided it was all customer error. He had no idea how to shut down the pump. Instead he called the police.He proved to be a rude immature person. We requested a number for his supervisor...Dustin stated 9-1-1

So the gas prices are usually good & the staff is usually friendly... Word of advice during the gas shortage, enter from the Walmart parking lot & not directly off of the main road to avoid congestion & long wait times... ?

I noticed a feller getting gas, put under 5 gal in tank and had 3 jugs in his trunk he was filling. I spoke up, saying both was wrong. Filling jugs and doing so with them in his trunk.An employee heard our conversation an I was asked to leave. I was filling up with diesel, driving a dump truck. I fill here 3 or more times a week, 60 or so gal a time.This lady had my pump turned off instead of the fella stocking up on gas.Any guesses on who'll never get fuel here again.?.?.?

Worst Experience. Just got off from a day off work and when I go to put $7 in my car on #4, nothing came out. I was confused because it usually worked. So I go to pay attendant because I planned to explain what was going on. She didn't care and said that I did get my gas when I clearly didn't. My friend was even confused about the situation. No matter what I said, she said that I did because there was a receipt for it. After dealing with a lot, the last thing I want to do is get angry at poor service.

Always new people working here, so the service is slow. Management has let their position get to their head and treats their employees (& customers) terribly!
