Update- My dog was misdiagnosed with anemia by North College Road during my initial visit. I had him retested a week later at another vet due to all the concerns that I had after meeting the vet at North College Road. In the meantime the doctor at North college road emailed me to tell me she thinks my dog has been sick for years... This type of fear inducing correspondence was not surprising after the initial visit and after I expressed that we would not be back due to a lack of confidence. Further more her office would not share records with the new vet in a helpful or professional manner (reported to me). He's perfectly healthy. No symptoms and clinical blood test retesting at a different facility confirms he was misdiagnosed by North College Road Animal Hospital. Beware of this place. 200$ later and a stressful 10 days of our lives.

The doctor and the staff are very polite and the time that I went wasn't busy a quick in and out. Will be going for regular routine because they are truly awesome

The past two times we have boarded our dog they have quoted us a price then charged us more for vet services they decided to do without our approval or request. I only went with this option because our vet was full for Spring Break. I should have known better. This time they tried to charge us DOUBLE for a bunch of tests we did not approve. Like literally $500 more than quoted. We just wanted to board our dog. ***I asked specifically if there was any additional cost because she is elderly and high maintenance and they said no, they board sick dogs every day. The vet was present when I dropped her off and re-explained her high maintenance needs and said nothing about additional charges.***My nicer-than-me husband paid the bill but never again. I’m sure we aren’t the only people this happens to. Steer clear for boarding.Edit - I see that they reply to reviews saying they don’t render services without permission. Blatantly untrue. They called us while in Italy to say they’d like to do some “blood work” for about $100 to test their theory that she was on too much seizure medication (they were the ones who had previously prescribed it at that level and has been monitored by another vet for years). My husband said ok. Literally everything else on this bill was done without our permission.Clearly they refuse to accept responsibility for the fact that a little extra communication could resolve the problems that are repeatedly in their negative reviews. If they refuse to learn from their issues hopefully other potential boarders will!

If I could rate no stars, I would. Had an appointment scheduled for my dog for a kidney test after they said urinalysis was negative for UTI. They had given 2 weeks antibiotics and scheduled this test a week later. I had asked how much the visit would cost and was told $97 for kidney test and visit. Dropped my dog off before work. Received a call telling me that my dogs cholesterol was high, kidney fine, and needed thyroid medication, a $100 bag of food and that they gave her a rabies shot. They never called to ask my permission for the rabies, I could have supplied proof that she had it, which I know I already supplied them and the last 2 visits they didn't say she needed one. Funny how they gave another lady's dog a rabies shot without asking either when I was there the last time. My bill was to be almost $400, no kidney test, a rabies I didn't ask for nor need, 2 blood tests that I didn't authorize, food and monthly thyroid medication (?). Her thyroid level was fine on the test. When I complained all I got was an "I'm sorry". This place rips you off by performing tests and giving immunizations without even asking and then requires you to pay. My dog has been on antibiotics for a week already and didn't fast for a cholesterol test. She is always pushing expensive food. I did not get food or medication, asked for bloodwork results and told them I'd never come there again. This lady is a scam artist and does not have your pets best intrest at heart. I'll be taking her to a reputable vet for a second opinion and ongoing care. I hear Gordon Road Vetinary Hospital is amazing.Based on other negative reviews, I assume their response will be one where it "wasn't their fault". Please read the negative reviews and believe them, these are the real reviews. In response to their comment, they told us the urine screen was negative and they needed to perform a kidney test. They NEVER asked me to prove the rabies as it was already too late because they had already given the injection without my permission. I'm the one that told them they should have contacted me first so I could have provided it to them again. And the only abnormal result on the lab was for cholesterol. Now with the continued lies, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and whatever licensing entity there is for vetinary care and filing a formal complaint.

I scheduled an appt for my beloved puppy’s nail trim. The night before the nail trim, he split his middle nail. In the morning he couldn’t walk on it and was in bad pain. He was not letting anyone come near his paws. These vet techs were SO very sweet and kind and said they’d have the actual vet take a look at it, so she did. This was no easy task and these ladies put in HARD work to get my pups nails clipped, paw wrapped, and started him on antibiotics so it doesn’t get infected. Thanks so much for helping Milo even though it was so tough. ❤️❤️❤️

The doctors at this animal hospital are very friendly and they tend to my puppies very well. If there's ever a problem with my puppies they give the right medication. The grooming is top notch and they always leave me and my pups happy when leaving
