Great place to get North Carolina souvenirs!Cashier was sweet and friendly. She was also knowledgeable about downtown and local activities in the area.Parking is validated if you shop at any of the Cotton exchange shops. I believe it was 3 hrs of parking with a $5 purchase.Close to Riverwalk and downtown parking is also available for $2. There is a 2 hr minimum.

A very sweet shop with the kindest lady. She was so gentle with my boys and made shopping a positive experience.

This is a must-see place if you are in their area. The nostalgia hits hard, from the old toys to the candies we had as kids: friendly Staff, great environment, unforgettable memories.

Nice woman at the register and cute atmosphere. It was my daughter’s birthday and even though my picky daughter didn’t want any free candy, it was still offered to her which was extremely kind. We did pay about $50 for only a few items.Thank you for the good service! ?

I'm gonna go ahead and put a middle of the road rating in here. As I was walking up to the door, about 40 minutes before google's listed close time, I heard the door lock and the sign flip to closed. Sure it's possible that the person in the shop had something to go to, or google's time is wrong (though 4:50 is an oddly specific time to close). I didn't go further negative because I didn't actually get a chance to see the store before it was locked in front of me (I was less than 20 feet from the door), but I'm not gonna go positive specifically because it was locked in front of me. Guess if you want to go, you should go an hour before they are supposed to close otherwise it might be closed before you get there.

First time visiting Wilmington so our last day we decided to go visit this store and buy some things for our kids. We love helping local businesses, so why not? Chris greeted us and helped us while we were shopping and the kids loved it here!! He was really nice and we had a nice talk. We found toys we haven't seen in a long time! Defenitely a store to visit and get some toys and goodies for fam. On our next visit, will be back for sure!

I visited this place during my trip to Wilmington. The woman behind the counter complained about losing money from out of towners using a groupon - to an out of towner trying to use her groupon. The cashier got flustered since she didn't know how to validate that persons groupon.

Downtown Toy Company is a tiny little store with kids jewelry, games, puzzles and souvenirs for every age child who visits the Cotton Exchange. You know those games they have at the bar that say "Free drink if you can solve this puzzle!"? Well, they sell them here. It's not cheap, but not expensive either, like some of the other shops in the complex. A fun place to browse and maybe drop some coinage if one feels compelled to do so.
