I felt like I was home the staff was so friendly and accommodating. My mom is handicap and I was trying to get her out the car or should I say struggling. One of the workers saw and immediately came to our aid he got Mom in safely as well as all of our luggage. I was impressed it was beautifully decorated. The front desk staff was exceptional. My housekeeper was so nice she had the biggest smile ever! I highly recommend.Nearby activities: Walmart is just a walk across the street for everything you need wine food clothes.

I travel a lot for my job. I have been staying here every couple of months on business for the past couple of years. I've begun to notice things that make me say, "hmmmm". Things like dirty carpet going up the stairwell from the ground floor to the second floor from heavy foot traffic. Why would there be so much foot traffic from the stairwell door to one floor? Every time I've stayed here, there is always a pile of dirty linens and / or trash bags outside a few rooms. See photo. I find that odd. Why is that? People sleeping all day when housekeeping makes their rounds? Maybe they work night shift? To their credit, the staff have maintained the rooms and are always clean and the property is well maintained. The breakfast used to be good but has become sub-par.

Went this past weekend to watch my son compete in the Iron Man. Hotel staff was very friendly had a small issue made management away and it was taken car of right away. Room was very clean, the kitchen area was exactly what we needed to prepare pre/post race meals. . Only complaint I could have is the pillows were a little soft for my liking, but I'll take it! I will defiantly stay again next time in the area.

This location is very well managed and properly maintained. Renovations are completed and it is the perfect place for solo or even group travelers. The cozy comfort and amenities create a "home-like" feel and are handy for an extended stay. Breakfast was great and had many options.Centrally located near shopping centers and restaurants, with an easy commute to downtown wilmington or wrightsville Beach. Book your next stay at the StaybridgeRooms: Rooms were clean and had a pleasant aroma. No signs of maintenance neglectSafety: During the late hours, there is secured entry which is great to prevent loitering and non-customer activities. The elevators seemed noisier than normal, but they operated without issues.Food & drinks: Breakfast was good and there is a great selection. Hot coffee available throughout the day.

Disappointing hardly describes our recent experience at Staybridge Suites in Wilmington, NC, an IHG hotel. What looked like a first rate hotel on the web where we made our reservations turned out to be a long term hotel for the bizarre, and perhaps even one or two men on drugs. On our arrival there was the lady in the parking lot, in the rain, talking to herself and picking up used cigarette butts from the sidewalk and driveway with her bare hands. There was the multitude of adults at the communal breakfast area each morning, many of them coughing. There were children and dogs running around, some of them coughing and sneezing. There was the man who stood at the elevator, simply staring at it, while he held the leash to his growling pitbull. Because of the dog we were afraid to go close to press the call button, so we asked him to do so. He said that he already had, and every time he did it changed colors. He was simply standing there, staring glassy-eyed at the door; I’m not sure what for. There was another man, possibly the same one, who we saw once in the breakfast area in a very hyper state, violently shaking the cereal dispensing tower, holding a bowl underneath, then quickly escaping to the parking lot once he had a bowl full.Every morning was the lady who came down in her bathrobe and fuzzy slippers. The staff, seemingly all of them, knew her name, and she theirs. This tells me she has been there and doing this for some time.Present one morning was the large family, consisting of two women, two children, and one man, who talked about having been there for several months. Today was their laundry day, one said aloud. There was coughing there, too.In our room the previously used toilet paper roll was just 2 or 3 inches from the edge of the toilet, level with the bowl, all but begging for a spray of urine. Not knowing who stayed there before us we quickly swapped that out for a new roll.To top things off, my wife and I are now both home in bed, ill with coughing, runny noses, and headaches after a couple of days of incubation from that horrible stay.It goes without saying that our recommendation for Staybridge Suites in Wilmington, NC, is that it be avoided.Safety: We felt unsafe during our stay. Little to nothing was done to protect residents from communicable disease.Noteworthy details: See my detailed review for noteworthy details

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice and the staff (especially Sam) was friendly and helpful. There are so many restaurants and stores nearby and the beach is a quick 15 minute drive away. We will definitely be back.

Ok. Rooms are spacious. Nice. But the whole place smells a bit... I think they need to replace all the carpeting with hard floor. Services are hit or miss. They don't seem to want to give us extra blankets and flat sheets for some reason. We have to ask twice and answer a few questions. Free breakfast is ok.

Really lacking on cleanliness, stains all over the wall in the bathroom and under the showers. Also the toilet paper holder has lots of urine splash stains on it that we're not cleaned off, for a long time. It could definitely be better. Also, I really like places that serve free snacks in the evenings during the social hours. Very disappointing selection of canned ravioli and cold cheese sticks. Probably will not stay at this one again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We couldn't have been happier with the room, the service, and the amenities. There is a young man who works there by the name of Sam, who is absolutely spectacular. He is so kind and friendly and everyone seems to know him by name. We will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is great in so many ways. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Also, I don’t know if it is a Wilmington thing, but everybody working at that hotel truly seemed to want to help. They also always were cheerful and smiling. I totally enjoyed my stay there. There is a decent fitness room and, something I really appreciated, washers and dryers are available to be used for free. I thought the breakfast was above average when it comes to continental breakfast with fruits, cereal, eggs, potatoes, bacon, etc.

Literally cannot say enough good about this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. The room was spacious and clean. This hotel is in the perfect location. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and about a 10 minute drive to the beach and additional shopping and restaurants in every direction. Highly recommend and would stay again. I would rate this 10 stars if possible.

Absolutely filthy. You know it’s bad when teenagers comment on how gross it is. Disgusting things all over the bedroom, living room, walls, bathroom, lamp… the couch smelled awful. The doors in the room were falling apart.I can only speak for the third floor but it reeked of cat pee. The only upside of the stay was that the room didn’t smell as horridly awful as the hallways. Completely molded tiles at the pool. How long has something not cleaned for entire tiles to be green?! A stay of one night was one night too long.
