theArtWorks™ is an art complex that provides art studios, gallery space, and an event venue, fostering a creative environment for artists, educational opportunities, and enhancing the Wilmington community through art. The mission is to enhance the community, assist the artist, and contribute to the revitalization of Downtown Wilmington, while preserving the city's commercial landmarks and increasing the livelihood of local artists by providing a place to create and display all types of art. Visitors describe the atmosphere as amazing, with open spaces and a variety of art on display, including paintings, pottery, handicrafts, and other great works. The gallery is fantastic and would be a great place for events. Visitors can watch talented artists, like Megan Stephenson, at work and purchase their creations, such as beautiful mugs and wine glasses. The art studios offer educational opportunities, and the owners, Jim and Betsy Knowles, are praised for their welcoming and family-like treatment of the artists. Overall, theArtWorks™ is a hidden gem in Wilmington, providing a space for artists to create, showcase, and sell their work, while also educating and enriching the local community.

My first trip to this unique gallery in Wilmington was today. I was very impressed by the space, the amount of working Artist Studios, the moveable Gallery walls and the overall aesthetic of the Building. The owners, Jim and Betsy have created a very unique and artful space for their Artist and Visitors!!
